Marcel asking Leslie to come live on his boat was a sweet moment. They spent more than a year building up this man's love for his boat Sheila and it felt like a payoff and a loving gesture that I hope isn't laughed off.

We're never going to see this "Shouse" so why not create a little set and have them shack up for a while? Leslie keeps saying her main selling point is that she's not as uptight as "Little Nikki" and not wanting to live on a boat while waiting for your house to be built feels like a Nicole thing. I'm feeling Marcel and Leslie and maybe it's because I'm also watching Ted Lasso where a rich woman is dating a charming guy on a house boat but if the writers keep selling she was a different person give her a chance to do so with Marcel.

The people who hate Kat love posting about her and this probably why the writers will continue to put her in situations to have pointless conflicts because they are so easily rage baited. It's astounding the anger gets directed at the character and even recently the actress for playing a badly written but complex character well but rarely at the writers by those that are the angriest.

I look at any of the storylines that have gotten people mad enough to generate multiple post about her and I want to fall asleep not talk about it. Why won't Kat get a medical test? Why is Kat arguing with Tomas about moving in? Why is Kat mad at an Instagram live? The only compelling debate was donating an organ.

Leslie is the same level of annoying but at least she's consistently rendered. She's annoying for a few weeks has an episode where she tears up about her life as if she's going to change and goes back to being annoying. Yesterday Kat was literally giving good advice to Deanna but somehow couldn't reflect on how that advice reflected back to her own situation she was just talking about.

This is ruining the show for me and it's just lazy manipulative writing. Just have her kick a puppy next episode if they want to rage bait instead of whatever trite argument will pop up next. The writers didn't even care about this one. A whole three days of Kat being angry over a livestream to have Naomi easily mend the fences over a lunch which didn't even speak to any underlining issue.

This storyline should be about both sisters and making Kat the donor made it about only Kat.

1. The person in the coma needed to feel like a missed presence. Not having Eva talk to the only two people she interacts with and say mama for a week doesn't do that. Every single person fighting Kat for her well being fell flat because Eva's relationship with them has never been fully developed on screen outside of Leslie.

Simply put Leslie and Izaiah weren't strong enough to carry the weight of Eva being at death's door the way a week of watching all the Duprees and friends talking to a comatose Kat would. Nicole, Chelsea, Jacob, Dani, Anita and Vernon the monologues would have made us tearful all week.

2. There's no excitement to Eva waking up. Her reaction will likely be a mix of annoyance because it's Kat but mostly grateful. Kat would have woke up angry as hell probably causing another medical scare clawing at the scar.

3. If this is Leslie redemption it feels like not enough because she didn't suffer through anything and if it isn't it's another moment something worked out for her where she didn't do anything. I can't take a lot of her tantrums but Leslie in the waiting room going after the Duprees as Eva takes a turn donating would have been her greatest moment since the anniversary party.

Just my thoughts, but here's hoping that the writers have Eva and Kat in a more interesting space when this is all over. It seems the right time to advance the plot on that relationship.

This was the saddest moment in yesterday's episode she's weighing the decision to get tested faced with the possibility to go under the knife and the one person she absolutely knows she cant talk to is her psychologist mother whose busy cozying up to love interest #2 while every member of her immediate family is at the hospital because she understands how little her mother thinks of her and that she'll only add to the pile on.

Nicole is up there with Vanessa when it comes to treating her daughter like an opp. Say what you will about Leslie but the only thing Eva is scared to tell her is information that will send her off to cause trouble.

Both Kat's parents are emotionally untrustworthy. Chelsea's a bird who doesn't even have smoke for her father's mistress even though she caught them cheating with her mother by her side so no wonder she can't summon any for Eva. Martin and Izaiah's words should dead both relationships because they both revealed what they actually thought of her when she refused to give into them. I need Kat in a separate storyline outside the Dupree orbit quick.
