Rx reflection
hi all - just wanted to share a success for me: LDN has been helpful for my IC (and also my seasonal allergies...) I have been getting it through Ageless Rx - which was an easy and straight forward process. I went this route bc my PCP and Urologist had never prescribed it and did not know much about it. I have been on it for a few months - starting at a very low dose and titrating up to 3mg for now. Because I have not had a flare since coming up to 3mg, which is great, I was able to go back to my PCP and Urologist and share that it was successful and my side effects were just temporary (fatigue after titrating up each time for a few days). They now are comfortable writing the Rx for me, so it will now be covered by my insurance, which is an HMO - my healthcare system is also my insurer. They also are willing to write a doctors note to work if I titrate up again and am fatigued (Ageless Rx will not write a doctors note for your work). Just wanted to share in case this strategy works for others!!
