Paradoxical reaction to benfotiamine

I took a single dose of 200mg of benfotiamine and have had extreme side effects for the past 3 days. I normally take Thorne B complex with no issue and take 240mg of magnesium glycinate nightly. I have had a headache/neck pain for 3 days straight, dizzy, weak, major insomnia, hives, itchy, rashy. It feels like it triggered a massive histamine reaction. I already have me/cfs from long covid, so this is distressing.

I am continuing the magnesium and drinking coconut water, but think I am going to stop the B complex for now. Also taking anti-histamines for the hives and itching.

Is there anything else I can try? I hope I didn’t trigger mca’s.

Side effects after multiple Pemgarda infusions?

I have had 2 Pemgarda infusions and both went well with zero side effects and feels like some improvement, last one was Dec 2025. In March of this year I overdid it and had a big crash that I still haven’t recovered from. I am considering a 3rd Pemgarda infusion but worried about how I will respond at this much lowered baseline. Also, my son has me/cfs from LC and had an infusion in December and crashed hard afterwards and permanently lowered his baseline. So I guess I am wondering if anyone has had worsening of symptoms after multiple infusions? I really don’t want to make myself worse.

Severe acid reflux/GERD from Gabapentin withdrawal

I have been tapering down off of gabapentin and suddenly experienced severe acid reflux that is ruining my life. I did a slow taper over 7 months because the withdrawals were so bad, but the acid reflux didn’t happen until close to the end. It is 24x7 and not getting better on PPI’s or acid watchers diet. I had an endoscopy which was normal. I have read about other people getting GERD from stopping SSRI’s, so thinking this is similar and my system is in a hypersensitive state? Has anyone else experienced this? Did your system recover?

I am intolerant to many anti-depressants because I also have Sjogrens and extremely dry eyes that most antidepressants make worse. Any suggestions? I just asked my doctor to try Voquenza.
