1973 Campagnolo Crank Set Cleans Up Nicely

I'm midway through the restoration of my Atala Record Professional. I bought this bike new in 1973 while I was still in high school. All the parts are going through an ultrasonic parts cleaner filled with a 50%/50% solution of warm water and Extreme Simple Green, purchased through Aircraft Spruce & Specialty. I reinstalled the bottom bracket/cranks/chainrings this week. They cleaned up nicely. Not bad for 53 years old and countless miles.

Volvo's Overseas Delivery Experience is the Real Deal

My wife and I have been interested in Volvo's Overseas Delivery Program for years. Since I planned to retire at the end of 2025, we made it part of our retirement celebration. We ordered a 2026 V60CC from Kyle at Volvo of Cape Cod in November 2025 and picked it up in Gothenburg in April 2026. The program allows you to keep the car for up to two months without paying VAT, which fits perfectly with a trip we planned in southern France. This turned into an amazing European Road Trip. We returned the car to Volvo in Gothenburg in June after driving over 5,400 miles. The car arrived in Newark, NJ on July 23^(rd), and should be delivered to the Volvo dealership any day now.

The OSD Program was fantastic—smooth and simple, just as described online. We also met others from Italy and Poland, picking up their cars in Gothenburg, so I believe a similar program is available in Europe.

If you have the time and can fit it into your plans, I highly recommend the OSD Program.
