I might be forgetting something from the story, so correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't reporting Danzo to Hiruzen have been the obvious move?
Hiruzen was the Hokage, and Shisui's eye was literally taken from him while he was trying to use it to prevent the Uchiha coup, if Hiruzen knew what Danzo had done, couldn't he have dealt with him and gotten the eye back so Shisui could continue with his plan?
Obviously, I know there were other circumstances surrounding Shisui's decision and his remaining eye, so maybe I'm overlooking something important, but if Shisui really didn't tell Hiruzen about Danzo taking his eye, then... what was bro thinking? 😭
Genuinely asking because I don't remember the exact sequence of events, did Shisui report Danzō to Hiruzen, and if so, why didn't that resolve the situation?
This panel is actually crazy when you look at what’s happening
Tsunade reacts and intercepts Madara’s Fire Style before the other Kage can do anything, the important part is that Mei was already trying to weave her hand signs, yet she explicitly says it “won’t be in time”
ohnoki is also warning the others to save themselves, while the rest of the Kage are basically unable to react before Tsunade steps in
Tsunade is clearly operating faster than the other Kage present. She not only reacts to the attack, but gets in front of it before Mei can finish her counter
And yes, they were exhausted, but that's not really a counter to what the scene is showing. Mei doesn't say she failed because she was too exhausted to react. Her dialogue specifically indicates that her response simply wouldn't be fast enough in time, that's an important distinction
The scene is basically the manga handing us a pretty blatant reaction speed comparison and people just... don't want to talk about it 💀

One thing I've noticed in the Naruto community is that Tsunade seems to be judged by a completely different standard than the other Sannin.
Her performance against Edo Madara is, quite frankly beyond anything Jiraiya or Orochimaru have accomplished on panel lol
To put things into perspective, let's revisit Tsunade's performance against Edo Madara:
.She was one of the only Kage alongside ohnoki who could hold her own against five Wood Clone Madaras, each equipped with Humanoid Susanoo
.She was the first Kage to tag Edo Madara, forcing him to substitute with a Wood Clone
.She fought through injuries that would've ended the battle for almost anyone else
There's probably even more
Now imagine those exact same feats belonged to Jiraiya or Orochimaru instead.
Would people still hesitate to call them the strongest Sannin?
Personally, I don't think they would. I think those feats would be treated as the definitive argument that they're above the other two
That's what I find interesting. The exact same feats seem like they'd be received very differently depending on who performed them. Whether that's because Tsunade's fighting style gets overlooked, because people naturally gravitate toward Jiraiya and Orochimaru, or for some other reason, I'm curious what everyone thinks
This panel has always been funny to me lol. Tsunade had already seen exactly what the Raikage was capable of at this point, she had seen the lightning cloak, the speed, and the power
Then when he moved to go after Naruto, Tsunade stepped in and said:
"You'll have to go through me first"
and she did it in base
No Hundred Healings, no seal activation. Now before anyone says confidence isn't scaling, I agree. Characters can be overconfident.
But that's not really my point, my point is that Tsunade had already seen Fp Raikage and still didn't feel the need to activate the very technique she uses against the strongest opponents before stepping in front of him
At the very least, that should make people question how she viewed the matchup, maybe the gap between them isn't as small as people think

My thoery is that Sarada is already storing chakra for the Byakugo Seal, and Ikemoto is giving her the same treatment Kishimoto gave Sakura.
Something has been off about Sarada in Two Blue Vortex. She gets drained unusually fast after using her Mangekyou Sharingan, faster than you'd expect even by Uchiha standards. Sasuke, Itachi, and Obito all pushed their MS much further before hitting their limits. So why is Sarada struggling so early?
I think it's the same trick Kishimoto pulled with Sakura.
Throughout Shippuden, Sakura appeared chakra-limited and fans took it at face value. Then the war arc hit and it was revealed she'd been storing chakra the entire time for the Byakugo seal.
What looked like a weakness was actually setup the whole time.
I believe Ikemoto is doing the exact same thing with Sarada. The MS drain isn't a writing flaw, she's been passively storing chakra since the timeskip, and that's what's cutting into her reserves during battle.
The setup is already in the story too. Sakura explicitly told Sarada she'd teach her chakra control, and the Byakugo lineage passing from Tsunade to Sakura already established the precedent for it passing down again.
If this pays off, Sarada won't just have the Byakugo, the massive chakra reserves it provides could also counteract the strain of the Mangekyou Sharingan, meaning she may never go blind like previous Uchiha users.
That would make her arguably the most dangerous and well-rounded fighter in the series.
The pieces are there. We're just waiting for Ikemoto to reveal them.
The 5 Kage weren't making any progress at the beginning of the fight, confirmed by Madara himself.
Then the moment Tsunade joined everything changed. They immediately started progressing, launched a perfect combo attack that knocked Madara down, and even managed to almost seal him right after
So here's the real question, is Tsunade simply the strongest of the Gokage? Or is she just THAT good at support that she alone was able to completely turn the tide of a battle that 4 Kage were not making any progress??
Either way both answers make her the undisputed MVP of that fight, and Madara himself confirmed it by saying if she falls they all fall

Hidden Mist Jutsu completely blocks his vision meaning his Sharingan based jutsu are basically useless, No Tsukuyomi, no Amaterasu targeting, nothing. And her Lava Style has already been shown melting Madara's Susanoo which is way superior to Itachi's, so his defense is gone too
The man literally has nothing left once his eyes are useless and his Susanoo is melted. Mei hard counters and solos, case closed 😂
