Looking for a team now

Hi! 33f, looking for a team of 4 or 5 to complete 99 nights starting soon! Hoping to find a group of adults that won’t quit or build shelves (🫣), and will communicate. I have 500+ days on one account and 700+ days on my main. I’m not the best fighter, I’m pretty good at base management and resource grinding. I also am happy to help and support whatever goals the team has! If you’d like to play, add me everest_starlight

Is anyone else’s game glitching tonight?

My husband and I cannot get the game to work right now. Either on wifi or 5g on multiple devices. We immediately start glitching. Is anyone else’s game not working tonight?

Question about fixed lines

If the mountain isn’t summitable until the weather window, how are fixed lines placed to the summit before then? Just general curiosity

It’s been 30+ years since the major commercializations of Everest. If the 1996 disaster wasn’t enough to dissuade climbers from attempting the volatile beast, I don’t know what will.

Rescue often has to happen with in the death zone or in treacherous terrain and conditions. This takes a multitude of man power and resources to accomplish and even then it’s not always successful. Many times, rescuers have met their fate while attempting to reach climbers or retrieve bodies. If the mountain itself is “attempted” to be climbed, it’s certainly not safe or optimal for rescuers to traverse just to save some rich persons ass. Many Sherpa lives have been lost while guiding, rescuing, and retrieving on Mt Everest. All for an optional endeavour. There’s no reasonable expectation that you survive your climb and to expect someone to come save you from a perilous situation you put yourself in is unrealistic. Forget how little sherpas are paid, nothing is worth paying with your life.

I feel, if you’re willing to risk your life to climb a mountain, (a completely optional risk that only benefits the individual) then you should have to sign a do not rescue contract. Climbing a mountain, with the risks Everest presents, is a personal choice and no one should be responsible to save you should things go wrong.

If you’re worried for your life, stay off the mountain.
