Anyone fished at block island before? How was it? Anything I should know before going? Not really familiar with the area so feel free to give me some spot recommendations.

Anyone have any good recommendations for a flounder rod for surf fishing? I heard something rated around 1/4 - 1oz is ideal but having trouble finding some. My budget is $200 max

Are there any alternatives to the van staal vsx2? I wadefish either the surf or river mouths pretty often and constantly dunk my reel in the water on accident and looking to get a sealed reel. I don’t mind spending the $1k but was wondering if there’s any cheaper options that are just as good. I want something that’s basically bullet proof… is my best bet just buy once cry once?
