I got my best two players returning from last team, and the MVP from the championship team prior. The only problem is we got Annie who stank last season. Nobody else was on a previous random team. Achmed, boosted Amir, and Pete are known for being great players.

That leaves roles needed for Jocinda and Ronny. I guess Ronny gives pitching depth in case Angela is cold.

Our batting is so stacked it seems every possible lineup is great, so I just made sure none of the 4 non-home run hitters are next to each other, and tried to save Angela's stamina.

"This is the greatest moment of their baseball careers." For once Vinnie was probably right.

After winning the Championship of the Universe Coach Charlie Brown (I thought that would be a fitting name) fainted in shock. This resulted in Gretchen doing the Heimlich maneuver by jumping on his stomach, Jorge throwing hundred dollar bills at him, Lisa taking bets on if he was dead, and Sally trying to wake him by beating him with Ronny as a club. Matilda actually solved the problem.

When I was just learning this game I played with this [same team](https://www.reddit.com/r/BackyardBaseball/comments/1mnefqu/i\_played\_a\_full\_season\_with\_an\_awful\_team/) I went 3-11. The plan was to go 7-7, and I would play with my actual bottom 9 players. Taking 12 innings to win game 1 reinforced this. Instead we went 20-3. At least some of this is because I spent months occasionally thinking of what I would do differently, and apparently it worked.

One major help is the playoff teams were basically even in skill. That meant no team was too stacked. I lost to each team on game 1 and then swept the series.

Good thing this game has no power ups for double plays, because that would have destroyed us. We run so slow and hit it so high.

I am convinced the CPU plays stupid when your pitcher has 1 fielding (the game's dump stat). I would accept they got to base and throw it to Gretchen. They would then take off for an easy out. It only worked the time Kimmy dropped it.

I now know CF and P are the most important positions, and the key to offense is the 1,4,7 strategy. Top 3 batters was obvious along with next best at 2,3, next two at 5,6, and worst two at 8,9. For defense I know boosted Sally sucks at catching, and basically SS is the only position she can do. No more Marky as main pitcher backed up by Lisa. Lisa is our only good outfielder, so she is CF. Gretchen starts at pitcher with Marky backing her up. As the playoffs went on I developed a great system where Marky subs for her in one inning (usually 3), and that rest normally gave her the energy to finish the game. Good thing she could pitch 5, as Marky was struggling to pitch in the playoffs. I think they are better at hitting fast balls.

Two of our three losses were 0-4. The other was 4-5 with Reese's only true home run.

How did Sally have zero errors in the playoffs to Lisa's 14? In the final game Sally had 2 in one play (thankfully they tried to steal 3rd right after). Normally the ball phases through Kimmy and boosted Sally and goes wild. This time they would at least bat it down at their feet and eventually pick it up.

Our early games were low scoring. The way to win was we struck out a lot. All the power up pitches would tire out their pitchers and make them line up out of position. Then Jorge would single handedly carry the offense to victory. Only Gretchen and Jorge would ever hit power up pitches except in the playoffs when Lisa got us our only aluminum power bat. After a few games everybody started contributing.

You might notice nerfed Ronny lead the team in batting average in the regular season. He benefited from many fielder's choices. He hit many really short home runs too. Both he and Jorge collapsed in the playoffs.

Everybody hit a true home run except Ricky. He went until the playoffs with no RBIs. Jorge went until game 9 with no strikeouts.

Lisa and Sally's sprints are slow, and they never slide.

MVP- Easily Lisa in the regular season. She was our only capable outfielder, and for a long time she was our best batter. In the playoffs it was Gretchen. I am giving the title for Lisa, as nobody could replace her as outfielder.

LVP- Ricky. He benefited from many errors (including his one home run), and Lisa regularly had to cover for him in the outfield.

Yes, Sally is on the team.

It is lower now. Right after this he struck out. Then he hit a really high ball that Julie Dunkel (the new pitcher) caught.

Even worse for him Gretchen went 4/4 last game, so he has no excuses (other than her two screaming line drives of course).

Against a Completely stacked offense she held them to one run (Davy Marian, the Keisha clone, hit a 500 foot home run) with only Marky and Jorge offering any help on defense. On offense we were basically dead, yet she always hit it to the outfield and got to base. This got us the 2 needed RBIs for a 3-1 victory.

Lisa has been our MVP, and she dropped the ball this game both figuratively and literally. They finally targeted Reese, and he could not catch them. Sally and Kimmy were useless on defense.

The only really impressive plays not by Gretchen were Sally's home run, and a play by Marky. Henri hit it to Reese, and he dropped it. He threw it to Sally, and it phased through her. Marky made a leaping catch for the wild ball while keeping his foot on base for the out.

Also who counted only two errors? Kimmy, Sally, Lisa, and Reese all should have two errors for eight total. Maybe three or four for Sally, as she kept running away from line drives right to her hands.

They have two Pete Clones (with 100 bat power), a Pablo clone, 2 Keisha clones, a Stephanie clone, Stan and Sonja (solid players and great power batters with Kenny stamina), and Marriana is slow but really strong.

IF I advance the championship team might be easier. There is still another Pablo clone the Zenon/Zena E. duo, Chico Papas, Debbie, and another Achmed clone. The rest of the team is probably not that threatening.

Two Players known for being bad batters really came through. They both had a single strikeout and otherwise got to base every single at bat.

Liza had a solo home run and a grand slam giving us a 5-0 lead (at the time she had every RBI). Gretchen got an in the park home run, a power up off a triple and a power up off a double. Those crazy bunts helped Reese's numbers. If only he did not miss with the aluminum power bat.

Ricky came so close to his first home run and RBI of the season, but it barely went out of bounds for a foul.

We have come a long way since Jorge was carrying the offense.

3rd Gretchen career true home run. Gretchen's swing starts slow and ends lightning fast, and that makes me think it is faster than it is. Poor Ronny clone pitcher. He thought he had an easy first out. Instead he tired himself out with 7 pitches just to give up a home run to my second worst batter.

This season that leaves Ricky and Reese as the only ones left (Reese should get one by the end). 7 games in and Jorge somehow has not struck out, while Ricky has zero RBIs.

I am really glad I got the Ricky and Vicki home runs when I did; otherwise I might never have hit them.

Hopefully the whole season does not go like this. The slowest player you can use got the winning run.

1 error? Sally dropped 3 balls in one play. Marky had another 1. Lisa dropped one. Kimmy dropped one.

Big props to Gretchen and Marky's pitching. Despite having a completely useless shortstop they only gave up 4 hits all game (one was a solo home run). Gretchen is on pace for 210 strike outs shattering Angela's records.

To make it more frustrating Gretchen opened with a foul ball home run that barely went over the line. Jorge hit multiple near homeruns.

The middle is brutal. Games for 3 days in a row, 1 off, and then 5 days in a row.

Supposedly buffed Sally is terrible basically everywhere, so I am just putting her at SS to minimize the damage from all the balls phasing through her. Based on last season outfield will be a disaster, and we need the infield to cover. Instead of the Lisa/Marky duo at pitcher/SS we are going with Gretchen/Marky duo at P/2B. Without Lisa at SS and a player who cannot catch there (those 18 errors) I predict way more balls will get through than last time.

If Kimmy cannot play 3B this time (mixed results in past) I am putting Jorge there, Ricky at 1B, and Kimmy at outfield.

The batting order is way different. I now know Reese is not fast, so he is not leadoff. Jorge is now clean up with Kimmy at second cleanup.

Sally has the best batting stats with an unimpressive 125. She also has an awkward swing and tiny bat.

I hit a homerun with every single player, but Ricky (and Vicki) are the only two with only one homerun. Maybe he will finally get number 2. Probably not.

Alright Jorge, Marky, Lisa, and Gretchen. Last time y'all carried this team of losers. That is why all I ask of y'all is complete and total perfection. Is that too much to ask?
