Hardened steel hot ends doubt

Hi folks,

I'm considering to use CF filaments and I know I need a hardened steel hot end for it.

Is there any downside on doing so?

Would it be better to replace all of them? Or just getting one and sick with that one when using the filaments?

Am I the only one having this problem?

I do the calibration once a week more or less and after few prints it's already messed up.

Support says to do activate the calibration for every print but it doesn't makes sense... How can be do bad after just few prints?

First time printing autodesk FDM tuner

Hi all,

As mentioned I never printed the autodesk FDM tuner before.

I know for sure I have to recalibrate the ironing as this is horrible

But about the rest? What can I change in snorca to improve those defects?

Advice on TPU calibration?

During the prime days I bought my first spool of TPU. It's a Sunlu TPU 95A and I'm really struggle to calibrate it.
I use this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVU5If1VsAM&t=222s) for every filament and alway get good results, but with TPU I start straggling with the temp tower as there isn't really a level that look good.
I went for 210c and the max flowrate speed went amazing until 10mm3/s

Should I run the other tests, or going for the same test at higher temperature? I see a lot of people mentioning around 230c for the TPU

Any advice?

Smooth plate became my nightmare

I'm really struggling and I never had a problem before getting this plate.

I wanted to gave a smooth bottom to some of my prints but there's no way for me. I've changed the z_offset too many time (my textured pei works like a charm at - 0.04).

Calibrated the plate so many times and yet I'm not able to getting the result... What's wrong? What I'm missing? I clean the plate everytime with alcohol as well

Help 😪

First face down prints

Well,

As mentioned yesterday I'm printing a lot of stuff for the kids and today I had my very first keychain.

First print tought me I had to print it face down straight away 😅

Having the smooth plate it's even better for a very good touch feeling.

I don't know if I'm asking too much to the printer, Z offset is calibrated and filaments too but to me this looks a bit of underextrusiom?

Health harmonie minds for NHS assessed

After 3 failed referral due to have been previously assessed by NHS and in waiting list for tritation, yesterday I was looking with a friend what options are available for her son.

I've found out that HHM is now accepting people already assessed that want to start medications.

I've recently switched my crap GP and I've sent an email yesterday evening to ask for a referral.

It was a huge surprise to find the referral in my NHS app at 8AM today.

Let's hope it's the right time this one 🤞

3mf import keeps messing up my filament settings after latest update

I've been having this annoying issue since the last Snorca update.

Whenever I import a 3mf file using File > Import, it completely changes my filament settings - wrong colors, wrong profiles - and sometimes it just adds a 5th or 6th filament to my filaments.

I've never opened the 3mf by double-clicking it directly, always through the import menu, so I don't think that's the issue.

The only workaround I found so far is to repaint everything manually from scratch, which kind of defeats the whole point of saving a multicolor file.

Has anyone else run into this? Is there a setting I'm missing or is this a known bug with this version?

Am I already failing on tapering?

Short recap.

I'm on paroxetine 20mg from over 15 years.

I'm often very tired and emotionless. Felt that I'm doing great with my anxiety and panic attacks so decided that could be the right time to taper.

I did 4 weeks at 18mg, no issues at all

I'm now at 3rd week at 16.2mg.

From a couple of days I'm very agitated. Heart rate at rest is quite high, feeling a bit anxious and my brain feels at a run...

Sm I already failing after a short decrease like that? I'm a bit worried

First layer settings in cfg file?

I worked a lot to set every extruder to the right z_offset, but for some reasons when starting to print it changes to a complete different offset.

I'm a bit confused as the printer.cfg shows the exact parameters but in the Web interface it's completely different... I had to change it manually twice but I don't get what I'm missing

Autofeeder yes or no?

Hi,

I've listened to suggestions and advices and I've actually returned the snapdryer.

My setup was so unstable and the Sovol SH03 was in promotion...

I've spent the day doing some DIY and installed the dryier on a shelf on top.

At the moment I have the ptfe cables going to the autofeeder and seems is loading OK, but I'll run a small print shortly to be sure.

But I'm actually not sure if keeping this setup or going manual... In this way I can unplug the tubes from the front and insert another filament if I need a quick print in a different colour..

Please advice if I'm messing up

Snapdryer and space

Hi folks,

I was very undecided on what to do regard buying a dryer, especially because of the lack of space around the printer.

So my partner decided to buy me a present and bought the snapdryer with 4 boxes.

First of all I need to find out how long I should dry the filaments as I'm not able to go lower than 18% humidity. I had a look around and I'll probably print some boxes to add inside more silica.

Main concern is about space and what's the best option to avoid a lot of pain to replace a filament...

At the moment I've stack them together 2 per sides and I'll probably print the adapter to use the top one upside down. But i already know it will annoying to replace the filament on bottom boxes.

The printer is on an Ikes platsa and it's quite tsll already, that's why I didn't consider a shelf at the back.

Any advice or suggestion is really appreciated
