I’m currently in university and there’s this girl that I have known since childhood, she always had a crush on me and this year I actually started to like her (like a lot ,I’m 100% down bad for her by now) so I’m really really close to ask her to be my gf but both of us know that I like her and she said she liked me back (we talked about it) but every time I try to flirt with her I just smash my head into a wall , I don’t know what to feel about it ,if I’m honest it hurt me that she doesn’t flirt back but this would be my first girlfriend ever so I don’t know , my plan is to confess on a week or so ,we’re currently on exams week so there’s that time window to plan something.

Look this seems stupid but it’s not that easy,she has been my friend for about all my life and she liked me through all our secondary school but now I’m really really “down bad” (not the exact word but whatever I think I want her) for her like getting all anxious and everything but she’s really shy and gives me a lot of mixed signals like “this is really sudden for me,I have been waiting for like 5 years” or things like that ,but I even gifted her a plushie so I think I’m being pretty clear but maybe she’s feeling uncomfortable or something… I don’t know ,please Reddit enlighten me
