Does Asahi know when to use efficiency cores vs performance cores?

Just thinking the other day that Apple obviously knows when the OS should use the efficiency cores vs the performance cores on the CPU via their own drivers or what have you, and this would contribute to better battery life. Wondering does Asahi or the linux kernel have this ability or is this something to be worked on?

New estate assigned parking spots being parked in all the time?

We recently moved into a new build estate where the houses have no driveways but each house has 2 assigned parking spots in a communal area, all marked in each house number (the assigned spots were part of the contract). As you might expect, every so often one of us will get home from work and there will be another car parking in one, or both, of our spots. Sometimes it's neighbours, sometimes not.

It's becoming infuriating. The locality has very little else in terms of parking so sometimes we are snookered and have nowhere to park. Sometimes we have to park right in front of the other cars in our spots, blocking them in. We'd rather not have to do this!

Is there anything that anyone else that has been in this position can advise? I'm guessing legally speaking we may not 'own' the spots, but they were part of the contract. Could we install bollards here perhaps? I was thinking of even getting a few small traffic cones and sticking them in the spots to see if that helps aswell.

Any advice appreciated!

Water pump coming on all the time (new build)

Hi, I would appreciate some input from anyone in the know here!

I've moved into a new build house recently which has a air to water heat pump system with a water tank called Kodiak by Joule. It has an electric water pump fitted which is coming on each time we open the taps or flush the toilet, is this normal? I suspect this could become fairly expensive over time.

The system is attached to a smaller white tank (see pic) which I believe is an expansion tank and - correct me if I'm wrong here - it should provide a small amount of pressurised water which should cover enough for washing your hands for 10-15 seconds without the pump coming on?

Is there something amiss here or is this how it should work?

Trading in car that had repairs

Wondering where I stand on my current car if I wanted to trade it in. BMW 330e, 2017 low mileage full BMWSH. Three years ago while parked another car drove in to the next spot too close and scratched the bumper and cracked the headlight. Got the bumper re-sprayed and a new headlight fitted by a main dealer under an insurance claim. Like new and no bother since.

In terms of trading this in though, will I get screwed? Or will a garage even take it? Not sure how something like this is usually handled

Tempted by getting a nearly new GTI as my next car but the prices are insane. New clubsports are over 70k. Two year old models are 55-60k. I know its a performance car but we're hardly talking premium level. What has them so expensive?
