This is the first group of six planet and system cards for the Glisten Subsector.

Aki, Bicornn and Caledonia are all S-type binary systems with two seperate solar systems Primary and Secondary.

I have also included three systems from Firgr Subsector in the Gvurrdon Sector. This is just over the Spinward Marches border into the Vargr Extents.

This fills in all the systems that sit just across the border from the Spinward Marches Regina and Aramis Subsectors.

It seems that the border systems have a mixture of old Imperial names with the Vargr renaming systems and worlds as each new groups move in.

When the mood takes me, and I have suitable alphabet soup names, I will slowly add more Vargr systems.

Also I am adding all new and updated planets and systems to my Dropbox as they are finished.

This is the fourth and final group of two planet and system cards for the Mora Subsector.

As a bonus I have include five systems from Uthe and Firgr subsectors in the Gvurrdon Sector. This is just over the Spinward Marches border into the Vargr Extents.

It seems that the border systems are a mixture of old Imperial names with the Vargr renaming systems and worlds as each new groups move in.

So I accepted the Vargr naming tradition of rolling your face across the keyboard (or I took system names from No Man's Sky) and just ran with it.

As I complete a Subsector I'll copy all the blank planet images to here as well.

Note that it is still easier to search for a Traveller planet in the Subsector folder as there are duplicate named systems so some will be overwritten in the blank planet folder.

I am slowly approaching the completion of the entire Spinward Marches, and when I do I'll reorganise my Drop Box post it make things a bit clearer.

A while ago someone was asking about a diagram or map of moons around a Gas Giant.

I was working on the Arkadia System when I realised this was a good example.

This is the small Gas Giant Psari, a mere 14.4 Earth masses.

Even so it has a whole host of moons.

Normally I only record the big moons but this time I have detailed them all.

You have an outer layer of irregular moons in highly eccentric orbits.

Closer in you have a second layer of irregular moons.

Finally you have a tight group of regular and shepard moons with a belt system.

A Gas Giant's moons are harder to show in 3D than a whole solar system as the orbits are far more chaotic.

I have a vast collection of planet images made in Universe Sandbox.

While they were made for a different TTRPG I thought that they may be useful to the SWN community.

I cleared this with the mods.

This is the third and final group of seven planet and system cards for the Querion Subsector.

Rushu and Yiktor are both S-type Binary systems so I have created two system maps Major and Minor.

Thanber is also a S-type Binary system but the canon states that the second star Thego has no planets so I haven't made a system map for it.

While finishing Querion Subsector I have come across an interesting example of data drift. Data drift is when an error becomes so imbedded in a data set that it becomes a false truth.

The Winston and Xhosa systems have swapped a gas giant. Early sources have Winston with no gas giant and Xhosa with one gas giant. However both Behind the Claw and the Sword Worlds books have the reverse: Winston has one gas giant and Xhosa no gas giant.

As these two systems appear one above the other in data tables I suspect that a data entry error moved the gas giant up one position by mistake. Once in the official books that mistype is now canon.

The weird thing is that this can happen in real life. Until the satellite age maps of Earth were dotted with islands that didn't exist. Even if a ship correctly reported that an island was not at a recorded location the fact that cartographers cross-referenced each others maps meant that the false islands kept being reintroduced onto later maps.

In the Traveller universe I could see a data error in a ISS data base being replicated as information passed along the courier and x-boat routes. The error may be detected but the sharing and comparing of data packages keeps overwriting the correct information with the eroneous data.

Given jump lag it becomes impossible to correct without a expensive effort to fix the mistake.

This is the second group of seven planet and system cards for the Querion Subsector.

Prinx is a S-type Binary system so I have created two system maps Major and Minor.

Querion system has three seperate Planet cards. Erioque is a second planet with a higher than 1 million population. It is a major military base that no doubt will play an important role in the Fifth Frontier War.

Sheol is the first Gas Giant to get a planet card because it is the Homeworld of a species. Given that the terms used for theoretical lifeforms that live in a Gas Giant are Gasbag, Floater or Stinker I have chosen to use Jovoinoid as the discriptor.

Now for a bit of world building.

Retinae is the Homeworld for a pre-jump technological silicone-based lifeform that uses radiation for its biological processes. That presents a challenge - you need a planet that has existed for at least a couple of billion years to allow for evolution (the Ancients were only 300,000 years ago), but most heavy elements will have decayed long before that time to make a suitably radioactive environment.

Solution. About 800 million years ago an anomalous object - prehaps forged by a neutron star collision - collided with the former moon of Retinae, shattering both objects and leaving a dense ring of debris that has rained heavy elements down into the atmosphere allowing the evolution of a unique biology coupling silicone and radiation.

Why so many heavy elements remain in the ring and how it lead to a technological society is why Imperial Research Station Delta orbits the planet.

I came across an error on the Wiki for Rugbird. The UWP has the Hydrographics of Rugbird as a 5, but the description in the text describes it as a 1.

After creating hundreds of planets I sometimes get a bit jadded.

But every now and then a spacescape just hits close enough to perfection that I think yes!

This is the Moon Zila orbiting the Gas Giant Gazipur with the inner Moon Kurigram visible as well.

I tried to match the Gas Giant shown in the Wiki Zila (world) - Traveller

This is where the famous Zila wine comes from.

This is the second group of eight planet and system cards for the Aramis Subsector.

Junidy, Lablon and Natoko are S-type Binary systems so I have created two system maps for each of them Primary and Secondary.

Lablon has a Red Giant Star as its Primary with a 120 AU Jump Shadow that puts the Secondary M2 Red Dwarf star within the Jump Shadow of the main star. This gives large travel times from the edge of the Jump Shadow to the planets.

Given the Lablon systems position on the border between Imperial space and the Vargr Extents that makes the system particularly open to cross border intrusions.

Also this is the first time posting using Gallery so I hope everything links ok.
