It’s hard to believe we have made it this far after so many years of trying and never so much as a positive test. Dealing with PCOS and severe MFI, I wondered if I would ever be a mom. At 37 years old I was wondering if this time would ever come and although it seemed unsure, I still prayed and prayed that day would be here. All glory to God we got to have this little miracle and we finally got to see our little baby girl at our anatomy scan. The sonographer even said she was sticking her thumb up 👍🏽 which my husband said was baby’s way of saying all good here 😆The doctor said she is looking beautiful and organs are looking normal. She did say baby was at the 31st percentile, but didn’t seem concerned about it. She did note I have a marginal cord insertion, which is where the umbilical cord attaches to the edge of the placenta instead of the center, so she wants to do monthly ultrasounds to make sure baby is growing on track and that she is getting all nutrients. While it did worry me a bit, she said it’s not something alarming and it’s just something they want to keep an eye on. I’m just curious, for those that have had marginal cord insertion how was your pregnancy and birth experience ? And if you had similar percentile did everything turn out okay? I am just curious to what other people’s experiences are and would appreciate any stories positive or negative. I will say this, the sound of baby’s heartbeat and the movements I’m feeling as she’s moving around in my belly are the most beautiful things I’ve ever witnessed. I already love this little girl so much and I thank God every day for this precious blessing♥️
