Just wrapped up my 3-month unpaid internship at this cybersecurity startup and honestly I’m pissed. I only kept going because they kept saying they’d make me a junior after it ends. I was expecting around 20k, which felt fair for a fresher.

But yesterday they hit me with “work one more month unpaid” because I haven’t reported some “ekdum khatra” critical vulnerability yet. Bro, you want an unpaid intern to find critical bugs for you? Make it make sense.

The CEO (who legit smells like he hasn’t bathed in weeks) straight up said in the meeting “I haven’t seen your performance.” Like dude, only the CTO actually knows how much I worked, my dedication, everything. And of course the CTO wasn’t even there.

No breakfast, nothing. They were even looking for an unpaid receptionist. That should’ve been the first red flag.

I rejected it on the spot.

If you’re thinking of applying for a cybersecurity internship, especially in Nepal, please stay away from these kinds of companies. They’ll just waste your time with fake promises.

Feeling pretty drained but glad I didn’t fall for the extra month trap.

TL;DR: 3 month unpaid internship -> promised junior role -> asked for 4th month free because i didn't find a critical vulnerability as an intern. CEO smells too bad like take a shower bro.

I'm a 2nd-year B.Sc. CS student (graduating 2027) currently wrapping up a 4-month cybersecurity internship and trying to break into penetration testing full-time. Would love brutally honest feedback from anyone who's hired or been hired for junior pentest / security analyst role

Like wtf bro why AI generated vacancy announcement?

Atleast remove those emojis, and humanize it.

And the worst part, the vacancies are for developers, analysts, engineers, and still hundreds of people will like comment and follow that page.And some vacancy have mail to : personal mail.

Are these legit or some type of scams, cause why would any company want that and in which company they have HR but not a company mail?

It just boils my blood seeing people with good skills comment on those posts, like bro are you retarded or something?
