Thoughts regarding the Nancy Guthrie case and popular opinions
Why do folks still question whether Nancy made it home? I see this over and over and I don’t get it. Nancy had a pacemaker and devices connected to it, they know that she was still alive up until the pacemaker disconnected and where she was in relation to her devices. She went home and was taken from her home by the man in the video. He was covered to the point that we have close up video footage and still have no clue, he took the camera thinking there would be zero images of him. Spray painting, smashing it, merely covering it was not his game plan, he thought removing it entirely would prevent LE from seeing him or his get away transportation at all. He entered through an unlocked back door and took her out of the front because that is where he had his transportation and it was the logical way to remove her, the shortest amount of time to be exposed while moving her to that transportation. One elderly woman is not difficult to abduct, especially when they have the advantage of size, strength and a gun. The FBI knows where all of the vehicles in question were driven that evening, what devices were connected to them and when. Nancy rebelled on the porch and that makes perfect sense, she knew he was taking her away and leaving her home would register terrifying things. She would have panicked once he moved her through that front door resulting in her injury. There was oxygen in that blood which is another confirmation of life without pacemaker data.
I am not “defending the family”, it simply isn’t where the evidence points. This horrible individual planned to take her and went to that house previously to monitor for a response to him being there. He had already been there and knew no police came, no lights went on and no family showed up. Nancy’s phone didn’t ring. He cased her home previously with zero reaction. He went there that evening and I am fairly confident he had a police scanner in his pocket and an earpiece listening to LE. He started in the back, broke the light, propped open those doors and listened. Once he was confident he moved to the front and removed the camera. He then moved his transportation into place and quickly went through the backdoors and took her in a blitz style attack, he was quick in,most likely bound her hands and mouth and moved her straight out to that vehicle. She fought on the porch and he became violent with her, put her into the get away vehicle and off into the desert. Highly planned. His gun carry was ergonomic, he needed to reach it while controlling her against him and the sweatpants he was wearing over clothes wouldn’t support the weight of it properly at the hips. It makes sense that the details given were the broken motion light and the watch..he did this all in the pitch black with a bite light. When he was in the house his focus was grabbing her and going, he removed her watch and it dropped on the floor when he bound her hands. He went there specifically for her and her alone. The “robbery gone wrong” narrative makes my brain hurt. In what world could a guy with a weapon not tie her up and steal whatever he wanted? What would have went wrong enough to take her and leave the loot? This was never about ransom, or stealing anything but poor Nancy. It would not surprise me if his criminal history involves B&E and he is a drone enthusiast. The outline in his backpack looks like a small drone that could be used to check areas he was heading to beforehand. Planned and targeted. This seems an unlikely first crime to me.
The “ransom notes” were sent to prolong and taunt, for their own amusement and enjoyment. They went to great lengths to conceal their identity and leave no trace evidence, they would never reveal her disposal location. It is brutal but they didn’t take her with good intentions and it breaks my heart to think what she endured alone at their hands. He knows that area well, the question is how did Nancy get on his radar. Does the salutation in the letter provide leakage? His association with Nancy is Savannah? He became aware of her through her appearances on the show? I don’t know but not mentioning the family collectively makes me think he didn’t have deep intimate knowledge of the entire family. Was she chosen specifically for the attention her disappearance would garner?
