Because there are many questions on this topic, please let me share my tips on how to start with ABAP.

1. Create an SAP BTP trial account and learn RAP.

2. Not necessarily, but it is very good to have hands-on experience in a non-cloud ABAP system because, to be honest, cloud projects are rarer than classical on-premise projects.

There are two possibilities to get acquainted with non-cloud ABAP programming:
* Install S/4 HANA 1909 in Docker:

Note: You need suitable hardware

* Install ABAP Trial 7.52 if you have weaker hardware.

Note: RAP is not working there (but you can learn it in SAP BTP Trial)

3. Find sites such as "30 ABAP interview questions," etc., and go through all the questions you still don't know. Use your ABAP Trial and hosted ABAP systems to test them (from items 1 and 2).

If you have the possibility to get a starter position without experience, don't wait, because real experience is much more valuable than any tutorials.

For example, many tasks in real projects are:
* "Please tell me why it does not work, or why this amount is 100 instead of 80. Where does it come from?" And you debug it...
* "Please add one column to the existing report or integration." And you need to review tons of legacy code.

I don't know how to train for these situations unless you are on a real job. So get hands-on experience as fast as possible.

I am trying to automate AI development in ABAP. I connected the arc-1 MCP server for the backend and an SAP GUI MCP server to let the AI automatically test developments in SAP GUI. I also plan to add a Playwright MCP to let AI test Fiori apps. The only thing I cannot automate is the manipulation of ABAP screens by the AI. All the MCP servers I know of do not provide this feature. Does anyone know of an MCP server, tool, or approach that provides access to ABAP screens for AI?

I wanted to ask about a telemetry gathering strategy for Browser extensions/addons. I know that many Browser extensions/addons gather anonymous telemetry, and I was also advised to include it in my extension. The question is - can I turn on the telemetry by default without explicit user consent, for example, through a dialog?
Or can I just add something to my privacy policy stating that anonymous data can be gathered for the improvement of the product, and that users can refuse by adding a refusal switch somewhere in the options?
Or should I just gather it and not worry?
Could you please share your experience or maybe share what is the best way?
