Getting into Hypercar - any tips?

Hello! I’ve been driving GT3s for quite awhile, decided to give GTP’s (499P) a run and will be doing some races in the next few days.

I have a couple hundred hours logged on GTP’s in iRacing so in terms of handling the transition isn’t too tricky, but I’m aware their hybrid system works differently than iRacing. Any tips on energy management or motor map/regen settings? I understand that ideally you’d like to be around 50% charge to maintain optimal braking, just looking for some tips on getting the most out of the hybrid system.

TIA :)

Weight Penalties for Assists, but not the racing line

As the title suggests. I've recently got into LMU in the last week or so after coming from iRacing and the F1 titles.

Absolutely LOVE the idea of adding weight penalties for certain assists, but I couldn't help but notice that they didn't add weight penalties for using the racing line. In my experience, I've always considered the racing line to be one of the strongest assists for new players so I'm curious if anyone has an idea as to why LMU opted to not implement a penalty for this?

Not intending to shame people for using assists, just thought it was odd they didn't add a penalty for that, but for other assists. Curious if others have thoughts about this as well. TIA 😄

I’ve only been playing iRacing since November, and since then I’ve only filed 6 protests, All for intent wrecking (if it’s an accident or racing incident I can’t be bothered), I decided to try Porsche Cup today for the first time since the old car…5 of those 6 protests were from today, never played a series with people that upset about being overtaken. lol
