I am really confused whether to buy some gear or not. When they couldn't get me a delivery date except 'after sept 15' I booked in may first week

It's my first bike. I am 184 cm in height. The bike is for daily commute and occasional trips. Should I be concerned over service and spare parts cost as a collage student
