SD G Generation Eternal Newbie Guide

If you're also on r/SDGundamGGeneration, you've no doubt seen this (and the many update posts I've made). In case you haven't though, I figured It would be a good idea to post this here as well to help more players. I'll also cross-post future updates to the guide as well.

MSN-03X Jagd Sperrfeuer Doga/Jagd Sperrfeuer Doga (Heavy Type)

Yet another build for my UC AU
In this universe, the remains of Quess's Jagd Doga would end up in the hands of the Anti-Federation movement Samsara courtesy of some Sleeves remnants who joined the faction. Having been restored to full functionality courtesy of Samsara's backdoor connections to Anaheim, It was reassigned to one of their ace pilots, the Newtype Nataliya Harris. Its primary configuration triples the amount of funnels compared to the regular Jagd Doga, but for operations on Earth or in 1G enviroments where funnels are rendered inoperable, its shared parts with the Geara Doga enable it to assume the latter's Heavy Type configuration without much trouble

A couple of unique interactions I noticed if you only equip a left ranged weapon

When I was messing around with turning another old build into a viable build, I discovered a unique interaction when I only gave it a ranged weapon in the left hand (Since lets face it, few weapons work well with the big claw)

- When you activate awaken, the camera angle for the animation will be mirrored (which can lead to some funny results depending on which animtaion you choose), and the same likely goes for melee weapons as well. If you switch to a weapon type that's equipped to both hands or only the right hand, the camera angle will go back to normal

- In cinematic action cutscenes where your gunpla fires a beam rifle, the game will automatically give it a stock RX-78-2 beam rifle for the beam effects to shoot out of. Once again the same will likely happen with melee weapons, since it appears that nearly all of these scenes were animated with only right handed weapons in mind

I've slowly been creating a MSV collection for my UC AU, so here's some of the suits that are in it so far

Some of you might recognize the last one from one of my older posts, and that's because it was intially created for Scarlet Skies, but I didn't conceptualize Scarlet Skies MSV until fairly recently. Pixiv links to all of these will also be in the replies

RX-78AN-01fb Gundam Tristan Spec Ⅲ (GB4 Ver)

I decided to revisit my old Tristan art build to turn it into a viable melee build, and I ended up making the upgraded form of the Tristan in my UC AU

RG God Gundam complete

I was successfully able to fix the part breakage from my previous post with a Mr Cement Limonene Pen I was lucky to find yesterday, but I'm still a bit paranoid about it breaking again

I decided to get all of Setsuna's Gundams after my sister got me the 00 Qan[t] for our birthday earlier this month

Honestly probably the most fun I've had building kits in a while. It's very interesting how HG00 is a engineering midpoint between old and modern HG, and I'm curious what the fandom reaction to the new engineering was like when these kits first came out

With the power of the $20 Target gift card my boss gave me as a B-Day bonus yesturday, I have obtained the gamer edition optimus for only $26.54

Pretty fun figure, the only problem I really have is that the axe does not want to fit into the left hand for some reason

This truly is the 7/10 kit of all time

I recently saw that the HGUC Unicorn (Destroy Mode) mold was in stock at my local Hobbytown and decided to get it to see what it was like for myself before buying the Phenex version. After building it and playing around with it, my thoughts on it:

  • Articulation is all right, I don't really mind the knee artciulation, but the single joint elbow blows
  • The fact that you have to pop out the wrist slightly in order to hold the Beam Magnum straight is kinda annoying
  • The construction of the arms is kinda odd, the forearms feel a bit loose, and sometimes the elbow joints are prone to getting loose if I wiggle the forearm too much
    • Attaching C7 to C10/C11 was also fairly frustrating for some reason
  • The V Fin also feels a bit loose at times if I wiggle it slightly
  • I forgot that this kit had no beam saber effect parts
  • I like how the polycaps are all red lol, guess they'll be all blue on the Phenex

I can see why people don't like this mold compared to the RG, but it's also not as bad as the internet likes to make it out to be. Decent enough if you just want a kit of the Destroy Mode Unicorns as long as your expectations aren't too high
