What sorts of disability accommodations for meetings would be possible here?

Hey y'all, rewriting this post cause my original got deleted for being too long.

I've been going to meetings for around a month or so, but honestly I've been struggling a lot with participating in the meetings because I'm visually impaired and hard of hearing, and as far as I can tell, everyone else in the meetings seems to be fully sighted and fully hearing.

My area does have CODA (Child of Deaf Adult) meetings, but I'm not a CODA. I don't know any ASL or Pro-tactile ASL so I can't ask anyone I know personally to interpret for me. Plus I'm hard of hearing, not deaf, and have had no exposure to Deaf culture, so I'd feel like an outsider going to a Deaf or CODA specific meeting. With my current meetings, I already know the area and the other members, so I'd rather not have to relearn and reorient myself around a new area with new people. My usual meetings are fully accessible to me, I have no issues physically getting to the meetings on time.

My main issue is having a lot of trouble hearing what other people are saying, even with my hearing aids in. And due to my vision impairment, I can't effectively lip-read and the room setup would make doing lip-reading on everyone an impossible feat anyway. The room's set up is a big circular table in the middle and chairs along the walls, I have an easier time if I'm at the center table, in the middle of the meeting. However, I'm still struggling a lot, and a possible solution I had come to mind was to have a device in front of me doing live transcription for me, either in a large print font that I can read or being read out by a screen reader in an earbud loud enough for me to hear and process but not loud enough to be heard by others. I'm unsure if it'd be allowed or not, or if it'd make anyone uncomfortable, even if it's not recording and saving anything. So what do y'all think? Should I just ask the meeting lead if this would be okay next time I go to a meeting? Or am I overthinking over this potentially being a big deal?

Pre-existing romantic relationship while in recovery?

Hey y'all, I've heard and read that being in a romantic relationship while early in recovery isn't a good idea and I was wondering how this applies to relationships that existed prior to and endured during the period from addiction to recovery?
Me and my gf first met and started dating in 2024, and my addiction developed in 2025, 1 year into our relationship, and she stayed by my side. And even during my most recent relapse now, she still hasn't left me and is actively encouraging me to get better and recover. My gf has never used drugs, I'm the only one in the relationship with a problem/in recovery.

Struggling with the 1st step

Hey y'all, I've been struggling with an active addiction since 2025, I reached 9 months and 27 days clean without NA before my most recent relapse that has caused me to fall fully back into my addiction. I also recently started attending NA meetings in response to my relapse and it has been helping. I know I have to start on the 12 steps at some point if I do genuinely want to get better, but I find myself stuck on the first step. Like logically speaking, I know I have a problem, everyone in my life is aware I have a problem, it's obvious and I can't deny it yet I keep finding myself denying and avoiding and deflecting. I can't seem to admit to myself that I have a problem despite the evidence staring me straight in the face.

Lightweight forearm crutches?

Hey y'all, long story short: my current crutches are a pair of Ergobaum 7g Crutches that I'm borrowing from a local assistive tech lending program, and I'm currently trying to figure out what crutches I should replace them with once I need to return them and once I can afford to do so. I have to return them next month and I'm currently working so price isn't a major concern.
With the Ergobaum crutches, I really like the shock absorption in them and I really like their ergonomic handles.
What I don't like about the Ergobaum crutches is they're pretty heavy, especially since all of their additional nonstandard features (knee rest, built-in light) I just flat out don't use and don't need. So their added weight isn't really justifiable in my case, I also have chronic fatigue so using heavier mobility aids just exhausts me. Another issue I have with them is that I'm not a big fan of open cuff crutches and prefer closed cuff, and the strap on open cuff on the Ergobaums that go over my arms always come loose and need to be retightened. Though this could just be an issue with my specific crutches.
I've also previously used the standard Drive Medical forearm crutches and had no issues with those, beyond not liking them aesthetically and them having no shock absorbing springs in them.
I've also tried out SmartCrutches and while I did find them really comfortable, they had the same issue I'm having with my Ergobaums, being that they were too heavy.
So tl;dr I'm looking for closed cuff forearm crutches that have shock absorption built in and ergonomic handles, and preferably the lighter the better. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Intro time!!!

Hey y'all, I'm Olive (she/they), I'm a very neurodivergent transfemme lesbian. I recently realized I'm an objectum and I recently found this community and looking through the posts here is just nice and wholesome and makes me happy and it feels nice being validated and to know that I'm not alone, so I figured I'd just post a quick introduction as my sort of foray into interacting here more.

Suddenly questioning if this label fits me

Hey y'all, I learned of the objectum label a long while ago and just sorta went "Oh, that's neat" and then just sort of never gave it much thought afterwards because I assumed at the time that it didn't apply to me. However, I suddenly find myself questioning if I'm objectum or not. What caused me to begin questioning was I made a joke to my friend about finding a computer part (a power supply) attractive and then jokingly said "I.... may be an objectum" but like idk, that joke I made just sort of stuck in my mind and I began thinking about it more and how it just like felt right calling myself that, like idk how to explain other than calling myself that felt like it made sense. And like I'm transfemme and a lesbian so I'm no stranger to having to question my own identity and struggling to find the right labels to describe myself. So i started doing some self reflection and thinking about it more in depth and I've realized that in the past, I do have a tendency to feel like an attachment to my possessions, like something that is just more than just sentimental value, like actual emotional connection and emotional weight. And in the past, when I've lost or had to give up possessions I felt this way towards, it did hurt a lot and feel like a real genuine loss that I did have to mourn, but at the time, i always assumed it was just sentimental value/feelings and never thought about it too deeply until now. Another thing is I always tend to like ascribe human traits to inanimate objects, mainly emotions and feelings, and that usually results in me just getting more attached to the objects in question and verbally talking out loud to objects even if I'm aware I won't get a response. The only wrench in all this, the only thing keeping me from fully committing to identifying myself with this label and outright saying this is who I am is I've never expressed any of this to my girlfriend who I've been with for going on 2 years and who I feel is the love of my life. I'm not sure how she'd react to any of this if I told her this or if she'd be supportive and understanding or not, I like to think she'd be but I can't say for certain because I don't know her thoughts on objectums because it's a conversation topic that has just never come up between us. And just I don't want to express this to her and get rejected or find out she's not supportive of this side of me, I know that's probably unlikely but it's still a worry of mine.
