Is downloading LAION datasets illegal?
A user here told me it was and then blocked me. I think this is not an accurate representation of what LAION provides.
If we look at the actual datasets, they are just a list of URLs to files on authorized hosts. Downloading from a host that is authorized to distribute is not infringement.

Further, research is fair use. The claims about being liable and potentially facing prison time are FAR beyond the truth.
The man who makes these fallacious claims is not a lawyer and has lost multiple IP lawsuits. Maybe you know who I mean.

I am the final boss of Witty's hypocrisy
Her self righteous post recently where she pretended that she doesn't cause 90% of the division in the community irked me. So i pointed out that she lies and regularly causes division.
Ignoring all her own aggressive behavior that was done every day until today. Acting like she has never done wrong in the past and has always been against labels like pro and anti ai. It's such theater and I pointed it out. You can look at my unprivate open post history to see.
So she made some jokes and blocked me without taking any accountability. Sent her goons after me and one of them sent a reddit care message.
I am the true NG+ final boss of Witty's hypocritical journey. Witty fears confronting her past and the karmic burden she has cultivated for herself. That is who I am personified.
