I was reattaching all my hardware after a paint job and everything was going smoothly. This was the fourth screw for the tiller plate, and the head snapped off as it was getting tight. The plate feels tight as it is, but how much do I need to extract that screw shaft and replace it?

I'm trying to replace the existing small shed with a 12x20 of my own design. My original plan was to put down a gravel pad with 3-4 skids, but a number of exposed tree roots and the slope on the back and front lines of the shed have me thinking that's not the best plan. Additionally, the tree in the back creates a slope where the gravel would start, and the natural grade of the yard slopes down where the front of the shed would be. Can't really dig down because of the roots, which I've circled in red. The inner stakes are the corners of the shed, and the outer stakes are where the gravel bed frame would be, 1 ft further out.

Are concrete block footers the only way to go here? Would love some input from folks that have run into this before. Thanks!
