anyone taking paroxetine for social anxiety / anxiety
I took paroxetine for three months; it only really worked for my social phobia and anxiety for about a week or two before it stopped having an effect. I increased the dose to 30 mg, and about two weeks later, I felt it kick in: a burst of energy, a good mood, and almost no anxiety. As a result, I started taking steps to fix the problems in my life—problems that had previously left me paralyzed by anxiety. After another week or two, it stopped working again; while there was still some relief from the anxiety and social phobia, I also began to feel a lack of motivation (anhedonia). I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this? What could be the reason? Would it be a good idea to switch to Escitalopram?
