Over at https://www.visible.com/shop/5g-home-internet, the following FAQ is provided:

> ## If I move, can I bring my existing home internet service with me?

> Your current gateway and home internet service are linked to your service address and can only be used there, but here’s how you can bring Visible 5G Home Internet to your new place:

> 1. Check to make sure Visible 5G Home Internet is available at your new address. > 2. Cancel your existing home internet service when it’s no longer needed. > 3. Place a new order for your home internet service and gateway at your new address.

I got a free-rent incentive promotion that required a 13mo to 15mo lease, and my fiber provider has raised the rates recently, just before a move-out.

  • Does Visible really want me to pay $49.99 for just about one month of service, forego most of the second month that I'd have to prepay for anyway, but would be unable to utilize due to the location mismatch, and then also throw the device away after the move? (Pardon the stupid question, but does Visible literally hardcode the service address within the device itself in a way that precludes reuse at a different address the way the portray the issue?)

  • Does Visible really want me to experience no Home Internet for multiple days, because of the need to cancel and re-order the service for the new address? Is there any way to at least order a second Home Internet for the new address, before cancelling the first one? How am I supposed to keep my IOT devices connected at both places during the in-town move? What if something goes missing during the move, am I not supposed to have internet-connected cameras at both places throughout the entire in-town move?
