Lowest dose ?s

Good morning! I’m starting the 1.5 wegovy pill this week and wanting to know if I should expect ANY weight loss or less food noise, or if this should just be considered the month where my body is just getting used to it? I don’t want to go into this with too high of expectations. My doctor seems to think the 1.5 will be enough for me since I just want to lose 15-20lbs and improve my cholesterol, but from what I’m seeing the 1.5 dose doesn’t seem to do much?

Potty Training… is this normal?

My 2.5 year old started the Oh Crap potty training method 8 days ago. We did 3 full days of naked, and then went to commando with loose shorts on. She is still peeing in her shorts/on the floor 4-6 times a day. She is definitely going to the potty without us prompting her, and peeing/pooping in the potty, but that is like 2-3 times a day. Is this normal? Each time she pees on the floor she says “uh oh” but then calmly getting her to the potty to finish is a fight. She’s had maybe 2 days out of the 8 that we have been doing this where she has had maybe 1-2 accidents. She is on day 8 and we are still not putting underwear on her because when we tried to do that day 6 she peed in them immediately, and then again when we put on a clean pair. I’m just wondering if my expectations are too high? I thought she’d be accident free (minus every few days or so) by now, and able to wear underwear. It’s almost as if she hasn’t learned the skill of feeling the urge to go.

What can we do?! Losing our minds

Here is my 2.5 year olds sleep Schedule:

7:00am wake
Nap 1-2:30
Bed 8:30

Our daughter was Ferber trained at 5 months and we’ve had zero issues since. About 2 months ago she started waking up in the night so we capped her nap and that helped. Now she has started the stalling. More kisses. More songs. Etc. I know this is normal for her age, but last week we could give her one more song and she’d be fine after that. Or go in and give her water and she’d be fine after that. Now she just screams and screams when we leave the room at nap time and bedtime. We were going in after 5-10 min to say our script (it’s time to sleep, you’re safe and we love you) and leave but it only made it 10x worse. She’d start jumping in her crib and screaming harder. Two nights ago we decided to do full on extinction. We end the bedtime routine with “it’s time to sleep, we’ll see you when the alarm goes off. Love you” and walk out. First night she screamed for 35 min. Nap today she screamed for 30 min. Tonight she screamed for 30 min. Is this normal? Should i try something other than extinction? The check ins made it so bad. She only wanted us more. We tried sitting in the chair one night and it was awful so we didn’t try it again. She has been testing boundaries so much lately with EVERYTHING - so we’ve gotten really strict and respond with calm confidence. “No, we can’t have one more snack.” And walk away. End of discussion. Etc. I’ve heard that you need to be completely consistent and commit 100% to whatever sleep training method we choose. I’m just not sure extinction/CIO is appropriate for a 2.5 year old. She is not hysterical, but she’s screaming bloody murder for a min or two. Then readjusting her stuffed animals, rubbing her eyes, then screaming starts up again for a few minutes. Co-sleeping or sleeping in her room with her is not something we want to start and something we can’t do with our work schedules so please don’t recommend that. We have a strict bedtime routine that we’ve had since she was 2 months old. We let her choose the two books we read, we sing twinkle twinkle 2x, do our kisses, etc. we also play with her all day long, no phones or distractions. Doing alllllllll the things Dr. Becky tells us to do lol just wanting to vent and also some tips. Is it okay to let her protest every night before bed??!

2.5 year old suddenly waking

Schedule:

Wake 6:30-7:15
Nap 12:45-2:30/45
In bed at 8:15

Sleep trained with ferber at 5 months. Pretty nuch a perfect sleeper from then until March (26 months)

After back to back illnesses for 6 weeks I am afraid we’ve lost our perfect sleeper. She is suddenly so upset when we leave her room at bedtime. Cries 1-2 times a night. Sometimes we have to go in and sometimes we don’t. When we don’t go in we let her cry for 5-10 min and can always tell if it has escalated enough that she won’t go back down without us settling her. I finally met her cry for 25 min one night and she cried herself to sleep. Had two great nights after that. And now back to waking 1-2 times. I know it is separation anxiety and also habit bc of her being so sick back in April. What can I do to get our good sleeper back? We’ve tried night light and she HATES it. We’ve done the whole “it’s time to sleep, mommy and daddy will be back when your alarm is on” etc. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Any advice is appreciated!!!!

Sleep regression? Normal?

My 2 1/2 year-old has been sleeping like crap ever since she got sick back to back in March. I know that that can be normal, because she was sick. She woke up a lot coughing, and we would go in and give her water and medicine. But now she’s healthy and it’s the middle of May and she is still crying out 1 to 2 times every night. Sometimes it’s enough that we have to go in and settle her and sometimes it’s just for a minute or two and she goes back to sleep. We sleep trained her at five months and from five months until March. She was almost a perfect sleeper despite some Knight wakings when she was sick. My question is, is this normal? We can tell she’s having a lot of separation anxiety too because I can no longer put her down in her crib say good night and walk out. I have to sing her several songs and kiss her on the cheeks, forehead and lips and nose before she’s content. And sometimes she still isn’t content and I have to just tell her I’ll be back and walk out. I don’t go back in. She ends up falling asleep. Any tips or tricks for separation anxiety for a 2 1/2 year-old two was once a previously perfect sleeper?
