I think I have weaning depression

My son just turned 13 months and we are weaning and hoping to be done by 14 months. We are down to 3 feeds a day (morning wake up, nap, bedtime) and I think I’m having a hormonal crash or something. I’ve had the lowest lows this last week. From crying and so much sadness to intense anger. At one point I screamed into my pillow. I don’t think I’ve ever done that? My son head butted me in bed at like 2am and I woke my husband by yelling at him to take the baby. I texted my husband this last week saying that I feel like I am failing everyone and feel like a bad mom because I got frustrated with my son. My heart feels like it’s going to beat out of my chest when I think about normal, every day things - cleaning, grocery shopping, going to work. I even took a pregnancy test because this is soooo unlike me. Then it hit me today that maybe it’s the hormones from weaning. Idk what to do. We have tricare so it takes forever to get an appointment with my PCM but I guess I should try to be seen. Is this normal or common at all?

Ali & John James Postpartum Product Launch

This honestly should be illegal. I am “chruly” disgusted by this beyond belief. Before anyone jumps to her defense and says that she’s being “authentic” and “showing the reality of postpartum,” I ask that you consider the target audience here: she and her snake ass husband are advertising their WEIGHT LOSS product to new mothers. Mothers who are vulnerable emotionally, mentally, and physically. Mothers who are already exposed to the “bounce back” culture. Mothers who often feel uncomfortable and insecure in their bodies after childbirth. Mothers who are looking for community, support, and connection in the wee hours of the night while caring for a new baby. They’re doing this all under the guise of Ali being “just like you moms! But better! Because I’ve done this 4 times now!” They’re attempting to shield themselves from legal consequences by saying “always check with your doctor” while simultaneously claiming that she has had 4 babies, with two different OBs, and they’re totally fine with her breastfeeding and taking weight loss supplements. If you are choosing to formula feed your child and want to take these supplements, that is perfectly fine! But subjecting your child to the harmful side effects and chemicals in these substances simply because you want to lose the baby weight quicker is dangerous and promoting the same to new mothers is toeing the line of negligence.
This is not about me beating down on a new mother. It’s about how dangerous social media can be when you take your advice from scam artists like the Jameses.

Shut up about no sleep

I’m so tired of these influencers with babies/small children getting on IG just to complain about how tired they are and how horribly they’ve been sleeping because of their children. It is so insanely tone deaf to moms (and dads!!) who have normal jobs and no help. They are at home talking to their phone all day and getting paid ridiculous amounts of money to do it. They have nannies and chefs and house keepers and assistants. It’s not “relatable.” It’s insulting. Signed, a new mom/military spouse living 10 hours away from family and friends

DAD baby wearing

I have to look away every time she’s wearing her newborn in a carrier. I’m no expert in baby wearing but the baby’s whole head and face being covered is so scary.

How often do you give Motrin for teething?

My 9.5 month old is teething so badly. He has 2 bottom teeth and his two top teeth are so close I’m convinced every day is the day they’re going to pop through because I see them so close to the surface. We are on day 3 of giving Motrin at bedtime and it really seems to help but my mom guilt is setting in that we are giving him too much medicine. He gets the recommended dose of course but idk I’m nervous.
