I am sooo tired of everyone saying that you can’t build muscle in a calorie deficit. It’s actually bullshit. All of this depends on how much body fat and how experienced you are, but to most people, it is absolutely possible and can be achieved relatively easy. As long as you’re not cutting crazy amounts of calories this is easily doable. I am in a deficit and I lose about 1 pound a week, and I have put on a significant amount of muscle, and my strength is increasing. I eat plenty of carbs and eat 1g of protein per body weight.

I’m so tired of dating culture and the norms behind it. I don’t want to pay for my meal, I want to be courted, and I don’t want to have sex. After a long time !!! Is that too much to ask for? 😅

I learned the hard way that my body cannot tolerate alcohol especially while trying to lose weight. Before my birthday weekend, I was doing great! I weighed in at 169 which was 3lbs down from the last week. I was eating in my deficit, doing my cardio as one does- everything was great. Then, my friends wanted to drink and I did. So we had 4 Aperol spritz each night and the last night we had 6. Of course I counted my calories and everything and was able to consume that without going too far over my maintenance. Anyway, 11 days later and I am still not back to my normal. Obviously my diet has gone back to what it normally is and cardio is the same as always, but I’m just now getting back down to 170.4 after being at 174.2 this whole time. This just goes to show how alcohol causes severe bloating, water retention and inflammation, and I don’t think I’ll be drinking in the future on my deficits :)
