Toughest person I have seen

So I am a medico, I was in the clinic today in the morning when a patient came in with his forearm already covered in dressings. I assumed it would be an ordinary wound, but when I took the dressing off. It was literally cut open. I can’t share the image because it's not easy to see such thing, but if you are curious search for compartment syndrome following forearm trauma, you’ll get an idea of what it looked like.

The patient had undergone surgery already a few days earlier, but the wound was deep still open and in the healing phase. Honestly, I had never seen anything like that before, especially on someone who looked like a completely normal, everyday person. It looked incredibly painful.

We had to bring the skin edges together and suture the wound. What impressed me most was how tough the patient was. He barely reacted he didn’t cry out or even complain not even a single ouch. I asked does it hurt and he said yes it absolutely does hurt. Most patients aren’t this silent in situations like that, and this was a severe injury. Even before the anesthesia was administered, some amount of work had to be done on the wound. There was blood enough to make some people faint but he tolerated the pain remarkably well.
