The bridge has been inspected over the last year and it looks worse than they thought. Pedestrian and bike access will resume but no car traffic until they sort it out with federal, state, and city government. Bridge was built in 1902.

I was out of town for 2 weeks and just got to the merchandise mart station. There is no purple line train on any of the electronic boards and it's 8:30 am. Does it not come downtown on Fridays anymore?
In the last couple of years, whenever I wanted to rent a car, I started from the Hertz website. The last four times (rentals both in the US and Europe) I was unable to rent a car because they had none available. I would like to understand if their server doesn't like me or also others here have experienced the same problem.
