Pretty new to mountain biking this year. I picked up a 2008 specialized rockhopper with 26’s since I didn’t know if the hobby would stick. Well it has an everyday I’ve thought about mountain biking, wanted to go biking (and have most days) and constantly search bikes on marketplace. Not really in a spot to buy a brand new full sus.

Asking price is $1400 on this bike. It looks very clean, some scrapes by the handle bars. But it’s been for sale for a bit. And this seller usually has a fast turn around on bikes it seems.

Is price too high for a 2019 full sus? Or is it right in the ballpark. Very attracted to this bike, I hear good things about the stump jumper of how it’s a great all rounder, and not to mention I love the color schemes. I’m sure you are all way more knowledgable than me. Is the price fair? Should I just ride the old hardtail for the rest of the year and continue improving and spend next year? I know this is all entirely up to me, and my money, and my preference but I want your outlook on it as well! Thank you! Love the hobby so far guys, so much fun! Have even thought about riding the motorcycle less for this hobby haha, thanks guys.

Can anyone help with a compatible tail tidy for a 2008 Superduke 990R? Bought a competition werkes one that said it was compatible but due to the long cans on the aprokovic exhaust it didn’t work. Looking at the R&G racing one now but fear it might be the same outcome.

Came here to ask opinions a week ago. Only heard good things and pulled the trigger. Absolute fun on this thing.

Just bought a new to me 2008 superduke 990r and absolutely love it. As it’s a new bike to me I do have a question. Is this bracket from an old tail tidy? Or is this bracket just for support?

Tail tidy is something I want to do right away, along with possibly upgrading the levers. But just curious if that’s what it is. Thanks!

Hey guys, currently in the market and looking at nakeds. Currently have an r6 and I love it. But I mainly do city and backroad riding and while fun, I think I would appreciate more torque down low.

Stumbled across this 2008 990r.. but it has 34k miles. I’m pretty unfamiliar with Ktm in general and especially the older KTM series. Just wondering what your opinions are on it? Worth it? Worth major haggling? Let me know. Thanks!
