I got a request to make my ML torsos chubby so I pushed and pulled on it for a few minutes to see what I could come up with.

The main concern I have is how people are going to find thicker legs/hip pieces to fit the thicker pelvis piece, and if I should widen the hip joint spacing.

Also will probably offer a softer muscle tone option, and can make it chubbier if peeps send me a reference drawing to base it on lmao

Got my shipment recently and as usual UPS smashed it mercilessly. I opened the bottom flap to check what the points card was (and put it back), all the figure bits are in there still fastened. Great buy if you're just going to open it anyway.

Sometimes the universe decides to take it easy on you and suddenly Supergirl gets rock hard abs.

Back when I was designing the McFarlane torso kits I sell, thankfully I had to foresight to make the models kinda easy to modify, and also used about the same sizes for the ball joints.

For this swap, I didn't modify anything, this is a straight replacement with the abs from my McFarlane torso kit.

I do think I have to reduce the flair on the bottom of the abs though, if only because it's unnecessary here.

Also, for whatever reason the ball joint in the upper body has a sheath running down to it which limits articulation AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

I have to cut that off and then see if I have to adjust the height somehow.

Got the fig today, it's as good as I was hoping. That said, I was also hoping these figs would be scaled like the Darktide Veteran or Kasrkin from Warhammer, but nooooo, these are as big as the DC figures so they give the impression of being huge super soldiers.

Well, that's if you display them together, on its own the figure looks fine of course.

I got a few to have a squad, but they're too big for me. I'm going to wait for a company like JoyToy or HiyaToys to make them in 1/18, that way I can 3D print vehicles and enemies for them without taking up all the space here.

Anyway, feel free to ask anything you want to know about the fig before I tear it apart to study it more lol

[Miscellaneous thoughts]

• The cape material is almost like burlap or brushed nylon, it has a fittingly utilitarian feel to it. The wire holds poses easily.
• The weapons are soft plastic, however most of them are thick enough to stay rigid and not droop. The MG-43 Machine Gun's barrel and the two melee weapons will likely be the only ones to suffer from droop.
• It's interesting to see how the sculptors handled translating the detailed game weapons into real physical models. Not all the details line up, some parts like the scopes or rails are slightly resized, etc. I understand the need for some of the tweaks, but I'll stick to 3D printing my own arsenal like I've been doing already.
• An accessory pack would be great, with more weapons and hands to recreate emotes. Maybe they'll release the other B-01 armors as non-Elite Edition.
• Sadly, I suspect these figures are going to go the way of Dark Ages DOOM Slayer and we'll never see them again after they sell out.
• The "skirt" is flexible, but, as usual, for some MFing reason they MFing glued it to the crotch part with ugly MFing pegs that are completely MFing unnecessary. All that does is make it harder for the legs to push the skirt out of the way when kicked around.

As shown in the previous thread, I made new wrist joints for this figure.

Also wanted to see how bendy the fig is, so weird poses there be.

I really like that skirt, glad the plastic is flexible enough to get cool poses.

Here's a quick look at what you're working with with this figure.

The figure is a pretty good representation of Milly Alcock, including her proportions. However, these being action figures and idealized fantasy characters and blah blah, it's not surprising some peeps want to modify the figure, mainly the "long" arms.

• The easiest way you can chop down those swingers is to remove the shoulder rings and simply tilt the shoulders up. That's it! Look how far up and down they can tilt in the second pic, without the rings in the way.
• Of course, then the figure looks even more hunched, so you have to raise the head a little.
• Prying the skirt loose from the glue and pulling it down a few millimeters also helps overcome the long arm effect, it makes the torso look longer.

The last picture shows all 3 of these "mods" done. Yes, the lower angle makes her chin look powerful lmao. That's photography for you. Note how much pointier the chin looks in the first image.

I think this is a case of preferring accuracy or fantasy, and that's fine, mod it how you like.

Other notes:

• It's this version of the figure, they all have entire separate heads with swappable hair, not faceplates.
• The chest has a separate piece that sandwiches the cape ends securely. It's glued on really well on this figure, so I'm not going to bother prying it and wrecking the thin parts.
• The ab uses a barbell joint, similar to the Flash movie Supergirl.
• The neck is similar to the male neck joints.
• Whoever worked on the knees needs a slap. They look like they're reused from a different figure; some wrinkles don't line up and there are weird flat spots.
• The skirt is slit on the sides so it restricts the legs less.
• The thighs have a respectable amount of swivel, and you can probably shave away more material to add a bit more.
• The fleshy bits are all painted.

Overall I like our Princess Tiabeanie Supergirl, but I'm going to remove the wrist joints and replace them with 3D printed barbells, so the hands rest flush in the blue sleeve part.

I mean, not "get her" like hit her with a piece of reebar, you're gonna have bad times ahead. I mean pay her for some good times instead.

...Does anyone else want to take a crack at writing these intros before I get into trouble?

[Where and when can I pre-order?]

These are general releases, pre-orders may be found at all the usual retailers. Online pre-orders are usually a small amount so don't panic, there will be a lot more later when they're actually released. Supposedly. Release date is possibly August 2026.

New listings usually go up around 9AM PST. Sometimes earlier, especially on MTS.

• Jada Toys has T.Hawk (Street Fighter II) up for grabs today. I prefer the old SOTA Toys version, but I def don't prefer the floppy ball hips mine has lol. Jada's Street Fighter figs tend to pose well and feel great in-hand.
• Are Blokees the new Funko POPs? Should I stop saying things like that before I get disassembled? Maaaybeee! I'm sure eventually I'll find an excuse to get their SP//DR release, even if it is a bit shrimpy. Also, I support any company that releases joint packs for their figures. Please make Monster High kits. ;_;

Several upcoming Marvel Rivals statues have been spotted on Amazon by u/Tsuchigumo37. These probably aren't supposed to be up yet for the U.S., but see if you can pre-order them anyway. u/DankoToonie tells us they're in EB Games stores in Canada already.

Yes, they have placeholder names. This is common for upcoming products, it helps stop spoilers and people from finding them early in search results....most of the time.

• B-01 Tactical Armor

I think we've all seen the repaints peeps have done of this figure when it first came out, and they all look badass. I may get this one if I see it in stores, to team up with the Boss Fight Studio Conan.
