A couple of questions about dead in shell. :'(
I bought six hatching eggs online and incubated them. 2 hatched Tuesday night, and 3 more were squeaking and moving.
I waited, but they didn't hatch, all the advice I read said to leave them and not help, but they died. :'(
I also read it's good to leave newly hatched chicks in the incubator for 24 hours, which is where my questions start.
The two that hatched first I left in the incubator for a bit, but they seemed determined to roll the other eggs around.
Could that have caused the death-in-shell of the other 3?
Maybe I dropped the humidity when I did fetch out the 2 that had hatched?
I tapped open the other three shells this morning, all perfectly formed and had pipped internally into the air-sack, so they should have hatched. :'(
And now I've got 2 chicks, when everything I'm reading says I should have a minimum of 3 for their mental health.
