wedding website on save the dates

I'm making our save the dates right now, I am definitely putting a QR code on the back of the cards but am unsure if I should include the link written out above it as well. is that redundant? I'm worried with just the QR it might not work or our older or non tech savvy guests can't figure out how to scan it and then they would have no idea where the info will be. I don't think I want just the link bc it's kinda annoying having to read and type out the whole thing or to search for a couple when I could just scan it

what do you do for work? (if you go to midday weekday classes)

I often go to classes at 1:30 or 3pm on weekdays. the sculpt classes are always packed and I often wonder what everyone else there is doing for work that makes them available at those times

I’m a mental health therapist that can make my own schedule so I know what I’m doing there lol but I was curious about others. I live in charlotte so I also know there’s some college students from UNCC that come to classes but it seems like the main demographic are mid 20s+

One bartending we option we have is with our catering company. It includes 3 beers, 2 white wines, and 2 reds that we choose from their list and then we added 2 signature cocktails. The tentative total is around $1100.

Another option is to hire a bartender from another company for around $500. We would have to supply the alcohol, mixers/garnishes, cups, napkins, ice. etc. The pro for this option is that we can choose our favorite locally brewed beer and other seltzers we may want that aren't on option 1's list.

I have no idea how much things cost if I'm being honest, so I do not know which one of these would be the better option for price purposes. I am still looking around for other bartending companies, but these are the two options that we are considering right now. Could I get some insight on this and what is considered 'normal' pricing for the bar?

I am getting married in April of 2027! I have a dream of going to New York City to shop for wedding dresses, I absolutely love the city and think it would be fun to take a trip with my mom, MIL, and MOH there. I live in Charlotte right now, so this would have to be a couple of days/weekend trip planned in advance.
I had the idea of going to local bridal shops during a weekday and just to try on dresses and find styles/silhouettes that I'm interested in. I would hate to have a whole trip planned to NYC and drag along the others to go to potentially multiple bridal shops (and spend the money to book the appointments) all just to not pick out a dress because I didn't know what I wanted.

I'm not against going alone to shop and do initial try ons, I actually love doing things on my own. I wanted to share this idea with someone other than my fiancé lol to get others' thoughts. I fear bringing the idea up to my mom, I feel like she would get upset that I would be going without her and wouldn't be there to see me in a wedding dress for the first time. Also, I am curious if anyone else has done something similar and if it made the experience less special somehow?? thanks!
