9 month old throwing food on the floor
Up until this point my 9 month old has been amazing with food - trying anything we put in front of him, demolishing everything we put on his plate. For the last few days he’s just been throwing everything on the floor. We’ve tried the whole don’t react, we’ve just picked it up off the floor and put it back on his plate (within reason) or just waited before giving him another piece to eat. Because he has eaten so well until this point we are really struggling to understand why he’s doing it so suddenly and how we can actually make sure he’s eating enough. We can spoon feed him to a point but then he just gets frustrated that he can’t do it himself.
He had some peanut butter on toast this morning and he probably ate 4 bites before everything we gave him was on the floor.
I’ve seen that it’s likely some sort of developmental/attention seeking stage, but going from having such a good eater to now throwing everything - it’s a big jump!
