Stats through entire spring season and through 2 rounds of Playoffs….Final is tomorrow night

All in all very happy with my play, first season (albeit short) in 12 years and at 42yrs old I’m pretty stoked no matter what outcome tomorrow night. I have a good list of workouts and training I’ll be doing in prep for the fall season and with new custom gear on the way…to say I’m excited is an understatement.

New chesty….

Had been playing in a CCM 7.9., maybe 20 skates at a C/D level. At first I liked the fit and function but I found that the upper floater area is NOT suitable for hard/heavy shooters and neither is the bicep area, also the arms are just not flexible enough. Close, very close to being a perfect beer league chesty.
With that said I just purchased the Bauer supreme shadow and even though I haven’t spent any time with it on ice the arms….albeit they are a bit long, have absolutely stunning motion. Shoulders feel and are VERY stout. On a side note, I really like the 2 piece back and even though I won’t use the hybrid tuck, it’s a pretty slick idea

Just picked up a new glove!

Bauer Hyperlite Drew commesso pro stock. Believe it’s from his time at Boston college. Pretty pumped. I’ll likely use it until I’m able to break in my SV Pro when I get them in early July.

Beer league shit show tonight….at least we won.

Man I mean I’m glad we won 8-7 but Jesus if it could have gone wrong it did. Two deflections off our D’s legs, one puck I lost behind the net (my fault) another that I got beat super clean low blocker. And another just broken play/garbage goal from the low slot. I know that games like this happen but jeez. But upwards and onwards…I need a sticks and pucks day to work on shit

My return to hockey after 12 years away has been nothing short of great. At 42 years old I kinda had my doubts and I’m still getting back into shape which is a great biproduct of this all. But to snag two shuttys in 7 games….just rewarding. Now don’t get me wrong it’s still C/D2 hockey, nevertheless I’m glowing. Found a great new group of guys who make the late nights worth it.
