Do you think being a gay son and being the only son makes it much harder?

Looking for an alternative outlook & counter examples on this. I see a difference in how having a brother who is straight and fulfils the normative expectations of the indian family, makes it easier for the gay son to enjoy freedom. Whereas balancing the weight of responsibilities of parental care and also the pressures of coming out, makes it much harder for people with no brothers. Is it a shared experience?

Being socially awkward and trying to avoid inauthentic insincere and intrusive interactions with relatives and extended family is a huge protest in a family that only values people who “maintains relationships” and maintains “decorum and obeys”

I’m a private person and I value quietude, peace and slow life. My north Indian family is the complete opposite and I can never fit in. How do you deal with this without becoming the rude disrespectful kid in the family? My parents are huge people pleasers too. Its really difficult to manage their expectations of keeping up with these social interactions.
