Achieving Mint Green

Hi Dyeing,

Me again (😅). Trying to learn more about color mixing for fiber reactive dyes for cotton fibers.

Would it be possible to get a mint green or other adjacent light blue green color such as the first image over green-grey khaki, or is it not light enough to take? What dye shades are best to mix and at what amount to achieve these colors?

Help finding the perfect little black dress

I’ve been searching for a particular style of a black mini dress for under $100, but made from natural fibers but am having trouble so far! I suppose my imagined dress is too specific so I thought I’d ask here; I would love a long sleeve or 3/4 sleeve (belled sleeves aren’t a must but I like those as well) and an A line cut, but I would love it if the bodice / torso/ waist section were a liiiiiittle more fitted than the bottom, which is preferably loose. I don’t want a silky or chiffon-esque fabric and would prefer a cotton or some other “stiffer” material.

Question about dying on beige

I have a 100% cotton jacket and a 91% cotton, 7% polyester, 2% elastane jacket that are both varying shades of khaki (with either grey/green or yellowy tan undertones) and I would really like to spruce them up, but because they are not starting off from white I am curious about how this might affect the color result. For more context I am seeking to use fiber reactive cold dyes and want to achieve any of the attached colors (I do prefer cooler tones and more faded look, though I’m sure that’s an effect of time).

Any advice, especially regarding specific dye shades to use on their own or which ones to mix would be greatly appreciated! I just need some more specific guidance as I am new to this sub and dyeing in general!

Anyone know of a perfume that smells like the Love Beauty and Planet Conditioners?

In honor of Unilever discontinuing these beautifully scented conditioners, I’m dying to know if anyone has any recommendations for perfumes that smell similarly to these conditioners. I’ve used them lightly for ages basically solely for the purpose of scenting my hair. I especially love the murumuru butter & rose, coconut oil & ylang ylang, and coconut & mimosa flower scents. The rose has a uniquely deep, sweet and vaguely fresh/green scent that I love and would like to keep smelling!

Where to buy 3a/3b/3c bundles online?

Hi ladies,

Where can I get high quality curly bundles for a reasonable price? (Like ≤ $200 per 22in -24in bundle)

I’ve tried ywigs but it had a strong smell and I found it was hard to wash the chemical treatment out, raw haus Indian curl which was less curly than I expected, and true + pure texture island curly which was more kinky than I expected 😅😅 and have been considering the Burma curly from yummy hair, Burmese curly or D soft kinks from d hair boutique, or the passion wave from hair so fab.

If anyone has tried any of these or has any other recommendations I would really appreciate it! I just want to feel sure of my purchase because long curly bundles are so pricey and need more maintenance over time and there’s so many mixed reviews on these online vendors😫 🙏

Beginner wanting to work up to DJing with Vinyl

Hello,

As the title states, I know very little about DJ-ing but would love to get into it, with the primary goal of eventually learning how to DJ with real Vinyls, I don’t really have professional motivations or anything, moreso just as a hobby. Does anyone have advice for wha I should prioritize in my journey? How should I best get started on a preferably low budget? Also, I keep seeing these extensive lists of equipment that are recommended to buy for beginners; if I just want to play music for myself or some friends, is it really necessary to get expensive high-quality speakers and headphones? Can I work with just the laptop software and a deck?

To anyone who has experienced weight gain birth control, which ones caused weight gain and were you starting off being underweight or thin? ie does everyone gain significant amounts of weight on bc or is it just if you’re already thin? Were there other side effects? Were you able to find a way to counteract this?

Thanks
