Is Bedrock Sandals (with the leather) a good choice for a gardener?

I’m working on a gift for my wife, who gardens every day. Would the synthetic leather bedrock sandals be a durable choice for gardening? That includes a lot of crouching, and getting into dirt from time to time…

Sparring with Title Pro Mex 16oz

Thinking about getting another pair. Like the title pro mex. Is this going to be a good pick for sparring gloves or not?

I really just want a budget friendly red glove.

Is BJJ the most toxic martial art? Or what is the most toxic martial arts culture broadly speaking?

As someone who’s trained a lot of arts and now getting into mma, I can’t shake just how toxic a lot of BJJ gyms/clubs tended to feel.

If I were to compare it to any other community, it definitely feels like the American gun community. Really exclusive, full of grumpy older guys, and catering more to people with deep pockets.

This is in contrast to Muay Thai for sure (I think we can all agree) and I’m even going to go as far as to say a lot of Boxing gyms are friendlier. When I got to a striking-based gym, it just seems like everyone is smiling.

What’s the deal, if you agree?

Would you trust a coach that has only fought journeymen/was a journeyman? Or was only an amateur?

Asking seriously. Would you trust a coach who was either a journeyman or only fought journeymen? Or was only an amateur. I guess it would be situational and based on my goals. What would you guys do with these options?

For starters, I don’t plan on going pro and maybe I’d only ever have a handful of amateur matches over time. Really, I just want to be good enough at defense to have some longevity and not have to stop this hobby due to damage.

Sparring Partner that goes hard at the end of the round

I have this one sparring partner that will get tagged up with 10% shots the entire round then wait to the end to surprise you with heat.

It’s starting to get on my nerves because even as I continue to tag him with light hits he will literally face tank it and throw a hard shot. Even as I up the intensity, I only really upped the speed. He’s not being technical at all, just punching completely through the guard of a light spar. And to be entirely honest, bro is a heavyweight and I’m like a middleweight - so he could kill me off of pure ape math.

Do I just consider it as not my problem, or should I voice something?

Loan Originator Ghosted Me After One Call, and I’m About to Cut SoFi Out of the Home-buying Process

My LO ghosted me after one formal call. I got a preapproval but wanted to make some adjustments. They were unreachable, and at this point it’s sending off major red flags. I’m not going with SoFi anymore, but has anyone dealt with these issues before with them?
