Here for a question
Currently, I'm halfway through Contact Harvest with Cole Protocol on deck after reading Fall of Reach through Ghosts of Onyx. While reading The Flood I replayed Halo CE which was an awesome experience. I was a Sophomore is high school when Halo 3 released and bought a Xbox 360 specifically for the game. Before that I was only able to play Halo and Halo 2 with friends and my older brothers.
I've been down a Halo rabbit hole the last 2 months with the books and lore videos on YouTube. But also spent the last 2 years playing Infinite multi-player with friends giving up on the Campaign once they scraped the entire storyline. Lastly, I had zero interest in 4 or 5 and from what I've learned about the storyline I haven't missed much.
My question is where is this community at as a whole. Specifically with things like The Forerunners and Cortana?
Year one player advice to new players
This is an extremely predatory game and in it's current state does not deserve your money. Especially considering the old offers and things like Ranked rewards. Obviously, outside of Admiralty Backing which is almost always worth it. Personally I'm nearing a 'hypothetical' end to this game, only the Blücher campaign so far, but I've invested a lot into this incredible virtual museum, I do love this game and likely will continue to play just much more sporadically. Ultimately, my point is the prices for what they continue to offer is basically exploitation and never worth. With exception to Anniversary, Black Friday(ish) and Christmas.
Idk, love the the game but shits different.
