Voi in quali altri locali particolari siete stati? Cibo e drink erano all'altezza?

Hello everyone! I'm re-uploading this post because I think the pic wasn't visible before without opening the post.

I wanted to show you my most recent illustration and explain some passages I used.

Choosing a palette was pretty hard, especially for me who doesn't like pink much, but those are my bf's fav characters so had to deal with it. So, to contrast their red and pinks with dark tones, I opted for darker red and pink tones, amd a vibrant green to contrast and a pale yellow to blend them together.

For the background, I started with a round gradient from white, to pale pink, to dark red and then black, then smudged the edges in round strokes to make something like a painting effect and to focus the attention to the center. Later on, almost at the end, I was playing with effescts and noticed that a low posterization gave a cool edge to the smudged strokes, so I kept it, copied my favourite half, flipped orizontally and vertically and pasted it on the other side so it has a neat look.

For the explosion I started with regular shadows, but making them just flat or with gradients didn't really work for me, so I experimented with the level texture and ended up witho those large dots. Once satisfied with the positions I rasterized the level and used the airbrush set on blank to smoothly remove some edges. did the same with the highlights on the green part.

For the text, I wrote it down in black and white, with withe filling and black outline effect, and once choose the right font and size, I rasterized the level, used the bubble warp at max size to give it its shape, doubled the level and resized it lower to make a "sadow" to the original text and connected the right parts to make it 3d.
Once done, I flattened the layers so they became one 3d white text with black outline and converted the opacity to transparency, leaving only the outile. I then converted the layer in a vector one, selected all the lines, applied a brush I resized in various ways to have that effect, rasterized again, made other two layers for the colors, slammed everything in a folder and applied an outline to the same folder.

For the girls, both of them have different subfolders in their folder to manage their colors and linearts separately but in the same space. for the shadows, I made another folder clipped to their one and managed them following this tutorial, finding it very helpful and fun. For the outlines, initially I just applied the regular outline level effect, but I wanted Kayoko's halo to fade to white, so I shut off all the background until I had only the girls, made a new level, selected the outside space, inverted the selection, filled it with the teal I already used and deactivated the original outline level effect, then locked the pixels and airbrushed the halo part white.

And here you go, hope the explenations are useful and clear. Just ask if you need to know something more/else.
