First Unwiring

Here's my first project (other than some doomed cuttings...), a lilac shoot coming off my main bush.

Results, some old "before" photos - they've been in the starter post's comments section before, and a pic of the wires I used. I straightened the main one out intending to reuse it (I know, I know, but I got it *really* smooth) before deciding it's too hot and I'll just wire it later (with real wire).

I wired this guy just over a month ago, and started noticing some marks today. Maybe I'm an overeager noob, but I took it off!!

The straight part of the trunk that I'd been unhappy with has turned into more of a downward curve. The branches that I wired to face up are now mostly drooped down. I'd rewire that bit, but it's too hot to stay out working on it for any length of time :')

I had no handy (read: by the back door) wire clippers, so I just removed it all in one piece. Don't mind the horrible wire setup I had, I was just using what I have onhand to experiment!! Rest assured nothing was crossed and no buds were knocked off.

(Speaking of-- Buds!!! I have some lil branches and buds starting and I'm so happy!!)

Brown, stiff, no gills, no pores, white flesh, growing on wood

South Ontario, Canada, near enough to Toronto. Not 100% certain what used to be there, but I think it may have been a smokebush?

The mushroom is stiff, but squishier after mom wet it. It smells very mushroomy. It seems to have rings to its flesh, looking from the nonexistent "stem" end, and the flesh itself is somewhat fibrous, it peels away in strips. Edit: This is on the edge of my back yard, the tree was growing into the fence.

Thanks in advance!!
