Build help before sewers

Im in Hollywood, and about to enter these sewers I've heard so much about for the first time. Im using patch plus tremere with the medicine saleswoman history.

So far the build your looking at has got me from near the beginning of downtown to here without trouble. Thaumaturgy is strong, but ive noticed I don't get blood back from the little rock monster things. Any idea where to start spending?

Mods making Fat Larry not appear?

So I'm new to this game, and used nexus to download a few mods, like the unofficial patch, and a few graphic mods. I understand Fat Lary appears next to the church club in front of the van in the ally, however he isn't there.

Could just a few of these mods cause this, or do I need to progress further?

Brand new to WOD lore question

I had a friend recently tell me that he was going to start a long VTM modern nights campaign for our normal dnd group. In dnd we play very long level 1 to 20 campaigns in homebrew worlds.

I'm not sure how WoD or VTM works just yet. I've played bloodlines 2 as Lasombra all the way through, and I just started bloodlines 1 as brujah. I've been listening to lore videos every day as I have a ridiculous commute to work.

When thinking about a character to play, this probably comes from my love of the early Underworld movies, I keep coming back to this idea for a Ventrue knight type character. I'm not the biggest fan of the idea of playing some finance bro style vampire, but I dig the idea of a secretive order of ventrue knights with lineage from ancient times that serve the Ventrue clan proper.

Of course they have ties to the Camerilla because ventrue and all, but their true loyalty lies with the clan. And if the elder ventrue need something dealt with quietly, they send these guys after them, or put them in a coterie or something.

Idk this may be a dumb question cause I'm not sure how homebrew lore friendly this setting is, but I don’t want to seem dumb asking the guy who's going to be our storyteller, or make him feel like he has to accommodate my stupid idea you know? Any advice or lore i could look into would be greatly appreciated

VTMB 2: Help, I cant attack

I'm running into a new random issue with the game. For some reason I can't preform light or heavy attacks, unless I dodge before, which allows me to do the dodge attack.

I've tried changing the key binds, switching to different characters, creating a new character, and even reinstalling the game.

I'm kind of at a loss. Has anyone else experienced this, or know of a way to fix the issue?

Eve of Ruin decision paralysis

A few members of my main group are going to start running through eve of ruin on Sunday, adding in my fiance who wants to get into D&D.

There are three player characters total. My main group has played weekly for the last 8 years, with three campaigns going from lvl 3 to 20, but they were all homebrew campaigns. However this being a published model, for some reason for the first time, I have no idea what to play.

The others are playing a defiled magic sorcerer, and a Shadow Monk.

The sorcerer player is usually playing more support oriented characters, and the shadow monk being my fiance who is brand new, I think I want to play more supportive, and setting them up for big plays.

Any advice?

Ive been playing a warrior commissar for my first play through. Im thinking pyro psyker next but want to avoid the blade dancer build i see everywhere. Is it possible to make a pure mage style psyker, at least an effective enough one?

Im having issues trying to figure out how to add custom portraits. Looked it up, and it says add the resizes to the portrait folder. My files don't have a portrait folder.

Also do I need photoshop?
