AB Quantum feature idea for PRS: elevation holds relative to your dialed setting

I’m a PRS Rimfire match director and AB Quantum Pro user. Would anyone else find this useful?

On a multi-target stage, you might dial for one target and hold for the others. I’d like Quantum’s target card to show those remaining elevation holds relative to what I’ve dialed, saving me from doing the subtraction myself.

My suggestion is a Set Dialed Elevation option in Target Card Settings, applying to the current sector. You could choose:

  • Default: the normal elevation display referenced to your profile zero.
  • A target in the sector: dial for that target’s distance and display relative holds for the others.
  • A custom distance: use another distance as your dialed reference.

The stored rifle/profile zero would stay unchanged. A visible indicator would show the active dialed reference so you don’t mistake relative holds for the normal elevation values.

The attached mockup is my concept, not an existing or announced AB feature.

Would this help your stage prep? How do you handle this today—and does Quantum already have a way to do it that I’ve missed? I’d like some community feedback before submitting it as a feature request.

I don't usually buy 308

I reload so I haven't bought a box of 308 in a long time. But I wanted to grab a box for to shoot before the hand loads I'm working on, and I didn't pay attention to the price until she rang me up. Now, I should have said fuck no and walked out because I knew it was high, but I didn't know it was a 100% markup. Fuck that store. I expect markup when walking into a shop to buy ammo, but jesus.

What is Freemasonry (to you)?

Hello brothers, considering some of the other things I see posted here I wanted to post something fresh...

To me Freemasonry is about brotherhood. Thursday we had a "Brotherhood Night" at another lodge in my district. I've been to a few of these, and even though this isn't my lodge, I've always felt very welcome here, and these men are definitely my brothers. We had cigars and libations on the porch of the lodge and just hung out, shot the shot, about a variety of topics, masonic and non-masonic alike. Myself and another brother who could have been my father stayed till after 11pm just talking and having another cigar. It was a wonderful night, just sharing stories and hanging out.

Today our town had a 250th celebration, some of our lodge brethren hung out and welcomed anyone that was interested in our craft to chat. Afterward, myself and another brother got together for some more libations and discussion.

This is why I joined Freemasonry, the Brotherhood, the comoradery. Just getting together, as brothers, outside of lodge, and just enjoying each other company.

I hope all you other brothers experience this as well. And for anyone looking into the craft from the outside, I hope this is what you find.

Be well brothers. Travel. Make connections. Make friends.

Worth trying to salvage?

I have this DeWalt battery back that ended up sitting in water when my basement flooded. Is this salvagable. The other side of the cells look brand new still (if it matters)
