I've realized something about right where you left me that makes the song hit so much harder the more I listen to it.

When I first heard it, I thought it was just a good song. But over time, as I keep coming back to it, the emotional weight has shifted from just a sad song to something that literally gives me goosebumps.

I think the tragedy is that the song has become the character's prison and we are the witnesses. When you first hear it, you're just a guest walking into that restaurant for four minutes. You see her there and you feel bad for her. But as the years pass and you keep revisiting the track, she is still there. It's not just that she's telling us that she's frozen in time. You feel it yourself, cause not a single lyric has changed. It doesn't matter if it's been one year or five since you first discovered the song, every time you start it, she's there. And even after 10 years, nothing will change in that song, which means she will forever be trapped in that state. The song itself just became her trap. It's so devastating.

I just finished my first year of university, and honestly, the last two weeks were a total nightmare with finals and constant exams. 😭 As a die-hard swiftie, not being able to listen to Taylor’s songs because her lyrics are way too catchy for me to focus on studying (I just end up singing along instead of reading) felt like a total mental health crisis, haha.

So to cope with the silence, I had Minnz Piano playing in the background 24/7. It was just my life support! Her arrangements of TTPD, evermore and reputation literally became the soundtrack to my studying.
