Why is everything T&T?

Like, I get it. TnT is funny, very millennial coded, it’s cute and I’m very happy for them. But why is literally EVERYTHING T&T?

Everyone who is posting about the wedding is thanking T&T. Not Taylor, not Travis, just T&T.

Even outside MSG that night all said “JUST&T MARRIED” which I don’t love… I don’t really get it.

All the billboards that have gone up around NYC to congratulate them all say some variation of T&T. Maybe I’m just too critical, but I hate it. (Also who is buying those billboards, because I’d find it tacky if her or her team bought them, but I don’t see why they would advertise the wedding for free?)

All of it just seems like an advertisement for the wedding, and when their friends are saying it, it feels like they were probably told to not say their names in the post. It’s obvious they were at the wedding, and many are using Taylor’s songs when making their post, but why not say “Taylor & Travis”?

To me it feels like we’re being sold T&T together as a brand rather than just seeing them as two individual people who are now married.

I don’t know if this makes sense, but I’m just trying to make sense of why everything everywhere is T&T.

"It was a joy to work with her. We became very good friends," Anderson said. "It's an emotional thing doing someone's wedding." Official photos from the couple's Madison Square Garden wedding have yet to be released.

we finally have a wedding dress crumb! there’s not much else in the article but all of this just makes me so excited to finally see it (perhaps the part of this wedding i’m most invested in😭)

Taylor and Karlie - friends again?

With all the talk of certain wedding guests, I am still so curious when Taylor and Karlie reconciled.

What are your thoughts on Karlie Kloss getting an invite to Taylor’s wedding?

Revisiting Taylor’s poem ‘If You’re Anything Like Me’ for Reputation

Ever since the wedding I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this poem particularly because of the “And no amount of friends at 25, Will fill the empty seat, At the lunch tables of your past, The teams that picked you last” lines. Reading the poem again I picked up on a couple other lines that have become more relevant recently:

“You knock on wood every time you make plans.” - Wood
“Your superstitions were the lone survivors of the shipwreck.” - So Long London
“If you're anything like me, You never wanted to lock your door, Your secret garden gate or your diary drawer” - I Hate It Here and the wedding being “Secret Garden” themed.

What does everyone think about the Reputation prologue?

Another post reminded me of this, so I thought I’d post it and pick everyone’s brain.

What do you think she was trying to communicate with this?

‘ICE Contractor’ Discourse

There’s a lot of chatter around the Tayvis wedding. The most damning point is that they invited an ‘ICE contractor’ to the wedding.

This really confused me, because let’s be real, silence aside - it’s highly unlikely that Taylor supports ICE.

So I snooped a little and found more context. The guy is the adoptive father of Reggie King, Travis’s childhood friend.

These comments explain why Steven J. Demetriou was invited - https://www.reddit.com/r/Music/s/VrBU0IySho and https://www.reddit.com/r/OutOfTheLoop/comments/1uo7fu4/comment/ovqbdwo/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=2&utm_content=share_button

‘Steven J. Demetriou is the executive chair of Amentum Holdings, a government contractor that was first hired by the Biden administration to house Afghan refugees after the US military withdrew, and now does everything from NASA research to IT to refugee settlements.

The company was hired three months ago to reform an ICE facility that was shut down because it didn't meet detainee's medical needs, documents were mishandled, and multiple detainees died. The previous contractor was fired, and this one is a Democrat-backed hire on a temporary basis (180 days) to inspect and reform safety standards. They had no contracts with ICE previously.

Any type of ICE contract is a bad look at first glance, but the headlines aren't accurate. He was invited because he's the father of one of Kelce's childhood friends.’

Now, I’m not in the US, so I don’t know how far boycotting works. But the whole idea that they deliberately invited an ICE contractor because they support him is absurd. It feels like trying they’re trying to find a gotcha moment.

Personally I hate it, because even if you think the wedding is tacky (which I do!), that’s no reason to shit on someone on their wedding day.

Do you think they're more people who hate Taylor Swift than they are fans right now?

Do you think they're more people who hate or are beginning to hate Taylor Swift nowadays than they are fans right now?

I know reddit or any social media shouldn't be used as the full proof test for such a question, and that algorithms usually amplify negative content to rile people up, but it seems everytime I get content about her in a space that's not her bubble, or she's mentioned the comments mostly veer towards negative.

And the oversaturation of her seems to be meeting the conditions, which were a pre-requisite for Snakegate. If you weren't around for Snakegate, the conditions around people looking to jump for a reason to hate on Taylor were just so right, as she was on a run after her successful 1989 album rollout.

Which brings us to today as the conditions are looking similar, and the general public actually have so many valid reasons to hate on her, and get her cancelled, and with the frustration of the general public with the current administration, they might as well actually take it out on Taylor. Do you think this can happen or I'm just reading too much into it?

And so many fans who are more just here for the music, who are really big fans of her music are seeming to like her less as a person more everyday, myself included, or is she too big to fail?

I don't care about travis kelce (and believe me I tried to like him)

Honestly, my reaction to the wedding discourse was mostly meh, if travis is making taylor happy, good for her and if taylor is happy that her wedding is being treated as a global event, good for her

But I just don't care for them as a couple, I'm not into American football and tloas didn't really convince me about their romance

And part of that is, i just don't care about travis kelce and I don't find anything interesting about him, he's seems like a nice guy surrounded by questionable folks, you can find like 10 of him in your average day in America

Atleast matty healy was fun to hate on, i just find travis very boring to care about

Overly Critical Of Taylor

This is going to be a pretty simple post. Why are people so overly critical of Taylor compared to other artists? People find the littlest things to get angry at her for compared to actually controversial artists.

I never see the same amount of hate for people like Chris Brown or Kanye. And even other female artists aren't nearly as criticized as her, like Rhianna or Lana Del Rey, whom have had their own share of controversies.

People want to cancel Taylor so bad, but why?

Hot Take: The MSG wedding venue makes sense and is a good idea.

Firstly, we need to understand that what might seem like an ultimate dream wedding destination is the average holiday someone like Taylor could take every week. So going to any island or countryside castle won’t be as appealing or unique to her as it might be to us regular folks. Whereas getting married at stadium is unique to them.

Secondly, a stadium does kind of make sense for T&T specifically, since stadiums play a big role in their entire lives, separately and together. Travis’ job is playing at stadiums and Taylor performs at stadiums and those moments are likely the peak of their lives. Travis first got interested in Taylor after watching her perform at a stadium and wanted to give her his number. The first time they were seen together was at a stadium, they started dating while Taylor was on a stadium tour. A lot of their romance includes them cheering each other on while they are playing/performing at a stadium.

While this may seem absurd to us, we have to understand that they live a completely different life from us, their normal and our normal are going to be different.

Plus, if you’re picking a stadium/arena, MSG is one of the most iconic venues there is, and it just happens to be in New York, a city Taylor loves. I wonder if someone has a song about that.

Can we admit?

Is it possible we can admit that this was truly the most performative wedding? A spectacle. There’s no way this was intended to be private and intimate. 😭 she invited legit whole industry and had announcements made and all the details “leaked” but it’s was private? I won’t be surprised if there’s a doc coming. This isn’t me hating or anything. It’s just weird that some fans act or even PR will say she needed privacy and never had anything with the billions of media and announcements. Also articles and fans saying she’s modern princess Diana is wild. Love her but it’s regardless of the donations, the wedding spectacle was kind of….. tacky😩

Edit to add: dang the way you can’t have an opposite opinion. Never said it was supposed to be secret never said that. Private and intimate as in being very closed off, but making it a spectacle to still gain attention and a frenzy. I was joking about the doc AS A JOKEE. Also I guess I’m attacking Taylor for legit just saying it’s tacky and was clearly for the sponsored announcements and intentional leaks and merch on staff was for attention. I’m not saying that’s a crime at all. I’m not mad at her getting married nor mad at her for having a wedding but she picked this venue and had the frenzy weeks prior was intentional to gain attention. Is that wrong no but the was fans are acting like this was the only place is false. Imma stop engaging because didn’t expect to be torn for a NEUTRAL take.

Brad Pitt, Nikki Glaser, and 11 other surprising guests at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding

Brad’s Pitt being there is just…so upsetting. Listen I get it’s her wedding, her guest list. But how she or Travis could invite a man who abuses his wife and kids is just beyond comprehension to me.

About the wedding documentary theory

So since the wedding concluded and we’ve moved on to the discourse portion of the event I’ve noticed the narrative that a wedding documentary had been filmed and will be released soon going around, this is mostly framed negatively but I think I did see one positive example. Now the problem is that everyone seems so certain about this theory being true without any evidence. I would like to ask whether or not there is actual evidence for the documentary coming out or if this is a case of the fandom making something up in their heads and then rolling with it?

Edit: also are there any sources such as the ones who initially leaked msg reporting on this?
