Mildew on Japanese maple

It’s has been hot and humid in NJ, and I found my Japanese maple(I do not know what variety it is)has mildew in new growth leaves and on most of leaves in just one night, what should I do before it gets worse? Any advice would helps.

What is it? It’s taking over my lawn.

What can I treat with it? Tried some
Chemicals from big box store but it also killed my healthy grass, I also have creeping Charlie and crabgrass. Spray cross check plus about 10days now and doesn’t seem to be working. What would you recommend to kill those weeds at once and doesn’t kill my turf gras. Located in Nj

Waterfall Japanese maple

I picked up this Japanese Waterfall Maple at clearance section at a great price. It was already showing some signs of stress(picture 1 was when I first bought from the store). I noticed some damage on the trunk above the graft area, no dead brunch.
Unfortunately, after a windy night, many of the leafs looked wilted the following morning, since I left it out in the pot for a night. I planted it in the ground afterward.
I’m looking for advice on how to give this tree the best chance of recovery: What should I do to help it recover from the stress? Should I remove any more damaged foliage or branches? How often should I water it during establishment? Could the trunk damage be a serious problem? Is it possible that I planted it too deep? Trunk is green and root flare is showing healthy.
