Hi everyone,
I currently hold a S2 visa for China and am currently in the country. I was offered employment starting in late August.
HR had applied with the option of ‘domestic application’ to get the work permit. The initial review has been accepted and the work permit is expected to be issued at the end of this week.
The problem is that I am flying back to my home country at the end of next week. I don’t think I would get my passport back in time from PBS if I changed the visa before I left.
I plan to come back in early August, if I enter the country with the S2 and then change would there be a problem?
Thanks for the help!
I have a 4TB SDD that I was using to move stuff between my windows laptop and my mac and to use for general life stuff. When I move large video files like movies and tv episodes onto the ssd they won’t open from the ssd on transfer between computers.
The file opens fine on my windows laptop. I even moved the file onto a small 30gb thumb drive and it opened and transferred fine! So it seems to be a problem with the 4TB ssd. It is fromat exfat. Anything I can do?
Based on my amateur analysis I can see a somewhat consistent pattern of 6 syllables on lines 1 and 3 of each stanza and 11-12 syllables in each middle line.
How would one interpret this? Would it be considered free verse or should it be considered to have a kind of meter?
Thanks!
I am in the process of being hired by a school in Beijing. I initially told them I have no dependents because I am single with no kids. However, I recently had the thought of having my mom visit.
Do schools usually do parents as dependents? What kind of visa would they have in this case? Would she be looking at an S1 or S2 visa?
Hi everybody,
I hope this post can clear up some confusion I have regarding working visa requirements for teaching.
I have been offered a position for teaching English at the international department of a high school in Beijing. I have a USA teaching license for social studies 7-12 and soon to have TEFL cert.
The only hangup is that I have 2 years internship/student teaching experience, but wouldn’t have an official document verifying employment.
I have heard that the teaching license/tefl can waive the 2 year experience requirement. Is this true and does it apply to a license is social studies?
Thanks for your help!
Posted this in the questions thread but got no responses so trying here.
Whats the quickest easiest certification that won’t cause a problem in visa process for China? I already have a USA teaching license for social studies but want a tefl just for visa purposes as I’m looking at ESL positions.
Would any 120 hour course be okay or are they strict on the faster/cheaper options?
