If I compare some CAD products in regards to usage risk.

1. Local software with perpetual license (Solidworks) - Its running on your machine without external dependencies and license is valid forever. It will basically work forever unless you do something wrong.
2. Local software with subscription (Inventor) - Still local and without external dependencies but you have to keep paying for subscription. If you stop paying you cant edit your content. But at least you can still view everything for free locally.
3. Semi-cloud software with subscription (Fusion) - The software runs locally, but it depends on cloud infrastructure. Similar to group 2. but since content is stored in cloud if cloud servers are down you lose access. You can technically backup/edit locally but its not straightforward. The usage of product is restricted without cloud.
4. Fully cloud software with subscription (Onshape) - You run it in browser in cloud. Since nothing is local, if cloud is down you cant even run the software. Even if you backup some files locally you are out of luck. You are fully depended on their servers.

And thats why I am asking if Onshape isnt kinda risky. You never know if their cloud servers will stop working. Or maybe they will block your access because of some reason? Maybe some license violation?

You store and manage your valuable product CAD data on foreign servers you dont control. You depend on them that you will always have access which isnt guaranteed. So I wonder, isnt it risky to use fully cloud software like Onshape? Especially if your whole company depends on it?

EET pro platby hotově ještě dokážu pochopit, ale pro platby kartou a QR kódem? Ať jdou do prdele.

Asi prostě nechám zákazníka, ať si zboží osobně objedná, pak jde ven za dveře zaplatit QR kodem nebo kartou a vrátí se zpátky zboží vyzvednout. Neplatil kontaktně, takže pohoda :D
