On the shores of Jinji Lake is the first completed art museum by the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). Opened on August 30th, the 60,000 sq m complex is a cluster of nine pavilions interspersed with courtyards. The roof structure is the standout here, with the sweeping roof lines of the connecting walkways adding a delicate, light, airy feel.

Towering over the museum is a massive ferris wheel, making the entire complex visible from above.

Where to start with this overgrown hydrangea bush at my mother's house. There are spring bulbs swamped by it & also that weed that seems to want to swallow anything it touches.

Should I cut it off at ground level? (My mother's preference) Or just weed, feed & selectively remove canes?.. Any insights appreciated.

Friend has new cafe & needs to remove these old ordering discs from the tables. They are VERY firmly attached - is there a trick to removing them? Afaik, the table tops are fake stone/ceramic.

I suggested a hairdryer to soften the adhesive backing, but should i also be looking at a chemical solution?. Any information appreciated.

As you can see, everything growing on this wall is about as happy as it can be (considering the circumstances) except for the Brandi - it's barely grown since it was put on this wall - grrrrr. It gets fed the same, same light, same water - is it that they just don't like to trail & are much happier to climb?

There are two of these that live under quite dark positions. No natural light & with average of 9 hours with cafe lights on. They are a bit over 14 months old & never disturbed and watering kept on the dry side. The plastic pot is a firm fit in the external cache pot & while not airtight, probably wouldn't be that far off. Both are showing yellowing of older leaves - with faint signs of chlorosis. My experience with ZZ is zero - so whats my first move?

Blast(off) from the past. Conceived by Finnish designer Matti Suuronen in 1968 as a "portable" ski chalet, the iconic "Futuro House" pods sprang up around the world, often in the most unexpected of places.

Which brings us to the top of Willis Street in the mid 1970's - where for many years a Wrightcars, formerly Wright Stephenson and Co, car yard sat on the corner of... well i'm not sure tbh. I think it was on the corner of what is now Karo Drive, when Abel Smith st was closed off for the new motorway. But correct me if I'm wrong.

I loved seeing this every time I went past as a child - yes it was 'futuristic' but more importantly showed that not every building had to be in the shape of a box. For anyone interested, there is a website that tracks the remaining pods & their locations.

Sydney zone 10. Neighbors Japanese Maple has recently been mulched & fed (which is maybe wrong time to do it). Plant sits in fairly direct morning sun and it gets hot & bit burnt - but now its putting out new growth which is soft & almost instantly shriveling, even in the milder autumn sun.

Is this a case of too much water & food for this time of year? or of something more sinister...
