Spain and Portugal are both staying at hotels in Dallas for the world cup game and got to witness fireworks and the 4th. Pretty cool.

Spain is staying at the W and likely had great view overlooking the city and seeing fireworks for miles. Very unique experience for them. If anyone finds any social media accounts of them seeing it, please share. :)

Anyone know what is getting built off Lemmon in Oak Lawn between Throckmorton St and Reagan St?

Fencing just went up around property and looks like they are doing utility work. That is a prime spot right on Lemmon. Anyone know what is getting built?

The World Cup is making me wish the NFL didn't blare music and hype videos between every single play. Hearing the natural ups and downs of the crowd is beautiful.

The announcers keep talking about how gorgeous all the NFL stadiums are for the world cup. Why does it feel so different? I have to think it's the overcommercialization and how much noise is blared over the loud speaker. Feel like the NFL would be more aesthically pleasing if they waited until timeout or commercial break to play music.

Does anyone else work in Arlington or Mid Cities and commute home to East Dallas area? If so how is the drive?

Job is over in Arlington area. Wanted to see how commute is to apartments in East Dallas area since I want to be near White Rock Lake. It shows 35 minutes without traffic and I'm sure mornings aren't that bad but how is afternoon? Anyone else make this drive daily? Its too bad the construction on I-30 just started. I typically like to keep commute 40 minutes and under.

I'm currently in uptown area so its quick to get on i-30. I'm wondering how much that extra drive on i-30 to the East is going to make me lose my mind in the afternoons or not.

In order for me to take some of my later prerequisite classes, I was required to take CHEM-1405 Intro to Chemistry. I now have this credit for Dallas College. One of the UT Arlington nursing program prerequisite classes is NURS 3366 Pathophysiologic Processes: Implications for Nursingwhich has a prerequisite of CHEM-1451 which I see is Chemistry for Health Sciences. Will my CHEM-1405 suffice or am I going to have to take CHEM-1451 as well?

Looks like rules say drinking isn't allowed but from what I'm reading so long as you aren't acting crazy, you are fine. is there a best place to drop in at? I assume it is more float in place rather than float the whole river.

Any other good spots within 3 hours?
